Protective Services sits within this team and protects executives, their families, residences, travel, and the operations that support them. This role brings dedicated security engineering rigor to a distinct and increasingly complex risk environment created by enterprise technology, personal devices, connected homes, and physical security. ## About the Role We’re hiring a **Senior Security Engineer** to strengthen the security posture of the **residential and personal technology environments** supported by Protective Services. You’ll focus on **executive residences**, **personal and managed devices**, **connected-home systems**, and the points where **personal and enterprise environments intersect**. This is a hands-on role where you’ll: - Develop threat models and identify meaningful attack paths and failure modes - Design, implement, and validate controls to reduce risk - Work across identity, endpoints, residential networks, wireless infrastructure, smart-home/consumer IoT, vulnerability management, monitoring, and secure administration You’ll partner with IT, Privacy, Legal, and trusted vendors to implement safeguards that are technically effective, supportable, privacy-conscious, and appropriate for a residence. ## What You’ll Do - **Develop threat models & security requirements** across residences, personal devices, home networks, smart-home platforms, physical security technologies, and connections to DoorDash systems. - **Develop residential security architectures** with repeatable patterns for residential networks, wireless infrastructure, endpoints, connected-home systems, secure remote administration, and enterprise security integrations. - **Design & implement security controls** across identity, endpoints, residential networks, wireless infrastructure, remote/vendor access, and consumer IoT—then validate they interrupt the intended attack paths. - **Identify & remediate security weaknesses** by assessing exploitable attack paths, unsafe trust relationships, vulnerable configurations, and control gaps; prioritize and validate remediation. - **Turn testing & incidents into stronger controls** by supporting Red Team/assessments, analyzing findings, implementing corrective controls, and applying lessons broadly. - **Improve security visibility & response readiness** with proportionate telemetry, integrated workflows, and practical detection/escalation/response procedures—balancing security with privacy and usability. - **Work across Protective Services and other security functions** to align cyber and physical safeguards, incorporate threat intelligence, and communicate risks/decisions/tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders. ## What You Bring - **5+ years** of hands-on security engineering experience in complex environments - Ability to take security projects from **threat analysis → implementation → testing → documentation → operational handoff** - Experience designing controls across **IAM, endpoint security, network segmentation, vulnerability management, detection & response, and secure remote access** - Strong **threat modeling** skills (assets, data flows, trust boundaries, attack paths, compensati
