**Senior Software Engineer, Ad Tech** **Location:** Remote **Travel Requirements:** 4–5 weeks per year **Job Summary** Join PatientPoint to help build a next-generation unified platform. You’ll design and implement scalable software platforms across infrastructure, tools, and development methodologies—using Python 3, Google Ad Manager, Operative AOS, Elasticsearch, and AWS. You’ll leverage AI-assisted development and automation to accelerate delivery, improve quality, and reduce repetitive work. **What You’ll Do** - Design, build, and maintain robust backend systems and APIs deployed in AWS across multiple technical domains - Develop scalable, high-performance solutions using modern software design principles - Contribute to architectural discussions and drive clean, reusable implementations across services - Ensure stability, performance, and scalability of core platform services and APIs - Participate in Agile ceremonies (planning, retrospectives, story grooming) - Conduct thorough code reviews and drive continuous code quality improvements - Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, DevOps, and Security - Mentor peers and junior engineers - Use AI-based development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development, generate/maintain tests, and automate repetitive engineering tasks **What We Need** - 6+ years backend software engineering experience building enterprise-grade applications - 4+ years building scalable, high-performance, high-availability microservices - 4+ years designing cloud-native architectures and implementing infrastructure as code - 4+ years with relational databases and optimized SQL - 2+ years Google Ad Manager (or other ad server) experience - 2+ years front-end development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React or Angular - Advanced proficiency in Python 3 (coding assessment required) - Elasticsearch experience (or other cloud-native search technologies) - Hands-on experience using AI-based development tools to build production software and automate engineering workflows **Desired Qualifications** - Observability and performance monitoring experience (e.g., New Relic, Sentry) - Containerization/orchestration experience (e.g., Docker, Amazon ECS, Kubernetes) - Familiarity with cloud security concepts and protocols (OAuth2, JWT, HMAC), plus encryption, hashing, and secret management
