We help modern enterprises innovate quickly, stay competitive, and earn customer trust by respecting data privacy and complying with consent guidelines. ## About the Role Osano is looking for a **product-minded Senior Software Engineer** to own meaningful parts of the platform end to end—from shaping the problem with Product to running the result in production. This role is for an engineer who treats **AI tooling as a real force multiplier**—using coding agents and AI-assisted workflows to explore unfamiliar code faster, ship more, and remove repetitive work—while maintaining the judgment to verify everything that goes out under your name. You’ll work across **React**, **Node.js**, **PostgreSQL**, and **AWS**, partnering closely with **Product, Design, QA, and Security**. **Remote role:** You must be based in, and authorized to work in, the **United States**. ## What you’ll do ### Build and ship product, end to end - Lead multi-sprint projects from design through rollout: turn a loosely defined problem into a plan, break it into actionable work, and deliver close to estimate. - Design systems that hold up; write design docs and decision records that weigh alternatives. - Partner with Product on scope: propose MVP cuts, phasing, tradeoffs, and measure whether what shipped helped customers. ### Engineer with AI to multiply your impact - Use AI coding agents and assistants across the development lifecycle (exploring codebases, scaffolding, writing tests, debugging, refactoring, migrations, and code review). - Stay accountable for every line you ship—understand and explain AI-generated code, and know where AI shouldn’t be trusted. - Turn repetitive work into automation (scripts, agent workflows, and checks). - Share what works: help define how teams use AI tools and how AI-assisted work is reviewed and verified. - Use AI responsibly: customer/personal data stays out of AI tools except through approved, privacy-safe paths. ### Own what you ship in production - Build observability, feature flags, and rollback paths from the start. - Participate in triage and on-call rotation; lead incident response and drive postmortem follow-ups to completion. - Identify tech debt, size it, and make the case to get it into the plan. ### Build with privacy and security by design - Apply data minimization, residency, retention, and access controls—especially for systems handling customer/personal data. - Write secure code and fix vulnerabilities as part of normal work. ### Raise the bar and grow others - Provide code and design reviews that change outcomes, not just approvals. - Mentor engineers and improve testing, reviewing, and operating software. - Interview candidates and help the team hire well. ## About you - **Delightful Experience:** care about the customer problem and push for what truly helps. - **Own Your Impact:** take full responsibility for outcomes from design through production. - **Stronger Together:** prioritize team success; give direct, kind feedback; treat documentation and async communication as first-class work. - **Growth Mindset:** stay curious and keep learning—especially as AI changes how software is built. - Comfortable with ambiguity; create clarity through good design and clear writing. ## Must-haves -
