**Clarity Innovations — Senior Computer Network Operations Engineer** **About the Role** Clarity Innovations is seeking a **Senior CNO Engineer** to design custom tooling and tailored capabilities that overcome government Cyber Capability Developer (CCD) limitations—accelerating the development, delivery, and deployment of critical mission assets. This is a high-impact role requiring strong context-switching and adaptability to evolving operational priorities. **Role Expectations** - Demonstrated proficiency in **C/C++** and **inline assembly**, including memory management, pointer arithmetic, and system call interfaces - Expertise analyzing **binary blobs, malware, and firmware** using tools such as **IDA Pro, Ghidra,** and **Binary Ninja** - Ability to identify and exploit vulnerabilities (e.g., **buffer overflows** and **use-after-free**) and create **proof-of-concept exploits** - Advanced knowledge of **x86/x64** and **ARM** for reading/writing/analyzing shellcode and disassembled code - Comprehensive understanding of **Linux and Windows kernel-mode programming**, process/thread management, and **virtual memory** - In-depth knowledge of **TCP/IP**, **DNS**, and **HTTP/S**, including packet manipulation and covert channel techniques - Experience engineering **custom implants, backdoors, beacons,** and **Command and Control (C2)** infrastructure - Proficiency in **static and dynamic analysis**, including **AV evasion**, packers, and obfuscation techniques - Skilled in **Wireshark, Scapy, Nmap,** and **tcpdump** for protocol analysis - Familiarity with **Metasploit, pwntools, QEMU, AFL**, and fuzzing platforms - Proficient with **Git, Make, CMake,** and **GCC/Clang** cross-compilation suites **Contract Specific Qualifications** - Bachelor’s degree in **Computer Science** - **Secret clearance** with ability to obtain **TS/SCI** - Strong knowledge of **Windows OS internals** - Proficiency with **implant and driver development** **Compensation** - **Salary Range:** **$110,000 – $263,000** (base salary) **Total Rewards (Highlights)** Competitive base pay plus performance-based bonuses and comprehensive benefits, including medical/dental/vision coverage, **401(k) with company match**, substantial paid time off and holidays, flexible work arrangements where possible, and additional income protection benefits. **Equal Opportunity Employer** Clarity Innovations is an equal opportunity employer.
