## 🔐 Founding Security Engineer — AIUC **AIUC** builds standards and insurance for frontier AI. Think Underwriters Laboratories (UL), but for AI agents — trusted by companies like Cursor, Lovable, ElevenLabs, and Harvey. Backed by **$55M** from Ribbit, First Harmonic, and Nat Friedman. Team alumni from METR, Anthropic, McKinsey, and OpenAI. --- ### 🧭 The Role You'll be the **first security hire**, owning security end-to-end across product, evaluation platform, and internal systems — working directly with the founders. AI agents now handle sensitive data and run real infrastructure, and the attack surface (prompt injection, credential sprawl, MCP/A2A attacks) is largely uncharted territory. What you build internally becomes the playbook other companies follow — and feeds directly into **AIUC-1**, the standard Fortune 500 CISOs use to decide which AI agents to trust. --- ### 🛠️ What You'll Do - Secure the product as it scales to enterprise customers - Build the foundation for running agents safely: sandboxing, credential access, core dev practices - Own company-wide security: network, vendors, access, data, and customer security reviews - Get ahead of emerging risks as new products and attack classes appear - Respond to incidents fast — and prevent them before they happen - Feed learnings back into AIUC-1 and share with a consortium of **300+ CISOs** --- ### ✅ What They're Looking For - **Engineer first** — built production systems, can clear the full engineering bar - **Cloud & infra security** — least-privilege IAM, SSO, KMS, secrets management, dev/prod separation - **Agent builder** — built and contained agents via sandboxing, tool permissions, credential isolation - **Holds the line** — can say no to founders without burning bridges - **Incident-ready** — detection, logging, IR, and corporate surface security (SSO, devices, SaaS) - **Security as code** — reviews Terraform, automates controls so engineers move *faster* --- ### ⭐ Nice to Haves - Turned security research into production defenses (e.g. reproducing agent attacks and shipping fixes) - Deep experience in distributed systems, ML pipelines, or large-scale platforms - Enjoys learning from enterprise security teams and CISOs --- ### 💰 Compensation & Perks - Competitive salary + **significant equity** - Health, dental & vision (you + dependents) - Visa sponsorship + relocation stipend to SF - Daily lunch, dinner & snacks --- *📍 San Francisco, CA — Underwriting superintelligence is their life's work.
