## Cloud - Staff Site Reliability Engineer **About Bedrock** At Bedrock, we’re moving AI out of the lab and into the real world. Today, we’re deploying autonomous systems on heavy construction equipment across the country—improving safety on job sites and accelerating schedules on critical infrastructure projects. This is where algorithms meet steel-toed boots. --- ## The Role We’re seeking a passionate and experienced **Site Reliability Engineer** to take ownership of our **cloud infrastructure**, driving its **design, scalability, and reliability**. You’ll be a champion of **production engineering**, **observability**, and **resilient distributed systems**—and you can’t stand sending services to production without proper instrumentation. This role is central to scaling the infrastructure that powers our **Machine Learning and Robotics** engineering teams. --- ## What You Will Do - **System Design & Operations:** Design, build, and operate highly scalable, reliable systems used by all Bedrock engineering teams. - **Cloud Infrastructure Ownership:** Take full ownership of Bedrock’s cloud infrastructure (**AWS, GCP, Azure**), ensuring best-in-class **security, performance, and cost efficiency**. - **Observability Stack:** Design, implement, and maintain Bedrock’s end-to-end observability stack (**monitoring, logging, tracing**). - **Production Excellence:** Develop and implement best practices for **system reliability, security, on-call rotation, and incident response**. - **Performance & Cost Optimization:** Continuously identify and implement improvements to enhance performance and optimize cloud resource consumption. --- ## What We Are Looking For - **Reliability Passion:** Deep passion for building and maintaining reliable, fault-tolerant distributed systems. - **Cloud & IaC Expertise:** Strong proficiency in major cloud platforms (**AWS, GCP, or Azure**) and **Infrastructure as Code (IaC)** tools like **Terraform**. - **Containerization & Orchestration:** Proven experience with container technologies and orchestration platforms, especially **Kubernetes**. - **Observability:** Hands-on experience with observability tools (e.g., **Datadog, Prometheus, Splunk**) and techniques. - **Technical Foundations:** Strong understanding of distributed systems, networking, databases, and compute infrastructure. - **Security Best Practices:** Strong understanding and experience implementing security best practices in cloud environments. - **Fast-Paced Environment:** Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, handle ambiguity, and take decisive ownership. --- ## Equal Opportunity & Accommodations Bedrock Robotics is an **Equal Opportunity Employer**.
