We solve HR issues with a data-driven approach and never stop iterating. **Who You Are** You’re a senior product engineer who enjoys solving hard problems where software, APIs, and real developer workflows meet. You can take a partner’s desired customer experience, understand both sides of an integration, and deliver a practical, supportable solution using capabilities available today. You bring strong API and web-platform fundamentals, communicate comfortably with external technical audiences, and care as much about the developer’s path to success as the code itself. You don’t want to repeatedly solve the same problem by hand—you turn what you learn into better SDKs, documentation, tooling, and integration patterns. **What You Will Work On** - Independently lead technical discovery and solutioning for priority partner integrations (partner API research, data mapping, auth flows, architecture choices, implementation support, and launch readiness). - Build and maintain high-quality developer ecosystem capabilities (portal experiences, documentation tooling, SDKs, sample apps, quickstarts, integration templates, and developer-support automation). - Create reference implementations and reusable patterns for common integration needs (OAuth, webhooks, retries, idempotency, error handling, observability). - Run technical working sessions with partners; translate complex requirements into clear decisions and action plans; communicate platform boundaries accurately. - Partner with Public API Engineering and Product to identify developer friction, validate API designs with realistic use cases, and deliver concise, evidence-backed feedback. - Own a multi-surface developer journey or a portfolio of partner integrations from design through delivery, operational readiness, and iteration. - Improve developer self-service using support questions, integration telemetry, and qualitative feedback to prioritize what becomes documentation, an SDK feature, a product enhancement, or a platform request. - Review designs and code; mentor teammates; elevate engineering quality in internal systems and partner-facing artifacts. - Collaborate with Security, Support, and other stakeholders to ensure integrations are safe, observable, and supportable. **How You Will Do Your Work** You’ll demonstrate: - **Good judgment** (balance partner urgency with maintainability, security, and operational quality) - **Resourcefulness** (find a clear route through ambiguity; prototype thoughtfully; reduce recurring work with reusable solutions) - **Teamwork and communication** (build credibility in partner conversations; create durable written artifacts) - **Influence and leadership** (lead through technical depth, clear recommendations, mentoring, and collaborative problem solving) - **Skills and knowledge** (apply and continuously improve modern practices in API integrations, web applications, testing, observability, and developer experience) You’ll also model Justworks’ **COGIS** values: Camaraderie, Openness, Grit, Integrity, and Simplicity. **Qualif
