You’ll collaborate quarterly in-person during “surges.” --- ## About the role The Portfolio team (Consumer & Business) builds the experiences millions of users rely on to understand what they hold and how it’s performing. As a **Senior Frontend Engineer (Portfolio)**, you’ll turn complex, real-time financial data into clear, trustworthy UI for everyone—from first-time buyers to advanced traders. --- ## What you’ll do - Own the design and delivery of core Portfolio experiences (balances, holdings, PnL) across **web (React/TypeScript)** and **native mobile (iOS/Android)** - Build **performant, accessible, pixel-accurate** UI that renders **real-time financial data** at Coinbase scale - Partner with backend, design, and product to take ambiguous problems from scoping through production rollout - Drive frontend architecture and quality: **component reuse, state management, testing, and performance instrumentation** - Raise the team’s engineering bar through rigorous code reviews, technical mentorship, and well-documented architecture decisions --- ## Required skills & experience - **5+ years** of frontend engineering experience building consumer-facing web apps with high-quality, well-tested production code - Deep expertise in **React + TypeScript**, with strong fundamentals (state management, rendering performance, accessibility) - Proven track record shipping and owning complex end-to-end features in production (ideally financial/trading/data-intensive domains where accuracy and latency matter) - Experience building **real-time/high-throughput** UIs and integrating with backend APIs (**REST/GraphQL**), collaborating closely with design and product - Uses **generative AI responsibly**, with human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality --- ## Pay transparency - **Annual base salary range (excluding equity/bonus): $186,065 – $218,900 USD** - Total compensation may include equity, bonus eligibility, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)) --- ## Notes - **Application limit:** up to **3 applications within a 6-month period** - **Equal Opportunity Employer** - **Accommodations:** email **accommodations[at]coinbase.com** for reasonable accommodation requests
