We drive card acquisition and growth by building seamless, engaging experiences that attract and convert users into loyal customers—using the latest technologies and data-driven insights to optimize the onboarding funnel. **What You’ll Do** - Break down larger projects into individual tasks, deliver in multiple phases, and collaborate to ensure timely delivery. - Partner with product management, design, and analytics by participating in ideation, articulating technical constraints, and weighing risks and trade-offs. - Support operations and availability by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating when needed, and helping with “keep the lights on” on-call. - Build team community by participating in growth and development activities (including the interview process). **What We Look For** - 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer. - Experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue. - Experience shipping mobile apps using native or cross-platform languages like React Native. - Experience designing, developing, and launching APIs at scale using languages like Kotlin or Python. - Ability to take a simple problem/business scenario into a solution spanning multiple software components—writing clear, well-tested, extensible code. - Comfort navigating large codebases, debugging others’ code, and providing feedback through code reviews. - Ownership mindset: proactively seeking feedback from your team, manager, and stakeholders. - Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team. - Requires either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. **Compensation & Location** - **Base Pay Grade:** L - **Equity Grade:** 6 - **USA base pay range (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT):** $165,000 - $225,000 / year - **USA base pay range (all other U.S. states):** $146,000 - $206,000 / year - **#LI-Remote** **Remote-First & Benefits** - Remote-first with flexibility; some roles may occasionally require in-person work, and all new hires attend an in-person onboarding experience. - Highlights include: 100% subsidized medical coverage, spending stipends, flexible time off, and an ESPP to buy Affirm stock at a discount. **Equal Opportunity** Affirm is committed to an inclusive interview process, including accommodations for candidates with disabilities.
