About this role
## Staff Web Engineer — Marketing ### Company Overview Deepgram is the leading platform underpinning the Voice AI economy, offering real-time APIs for speech-to-text (STT), text-to-speech (TTS), and production-grade voice agents at scale. With 200,000+ developers and 1,300+ organizations building voice offerings “Powered by Deepgram,” Deepgram’s voice-native models are available via cloud APIs and self-hosted/on-prem software. ### Operating Rhythm Deepgram is AI-first: team members are expected to actively use, experiment with, and integrate advanced AI tools into their daily work. Performance is measured by how effectively AI is applied, and success depends on quickly adopting new models and continuously pushing what these technologies can do. --- ### About the Role Deepgram.com is the company’s digital front door—showcasing products, brand moments, and pricing, and driving self-serve revenue. You’ll own the site’s codebase long-term as a **Staff Web Engineer**. You’ll be responsible for the repo, architecture, Sanity environments, and the QA bar—serving as the code-review gate for day-to-day page and content work. The Web team is small but scaling, reporting into the **Head of Brand & Awareness** and collaborating closely with marketing, product, sales, and external development partners. Most importantly: you must be **AI-native**, using agents and AI tooling in how you build, review, and QA. The goal is a **machine-first, voice-first** site experience. --- ### What You’ll Do - **Own deepgram.com end to end**: Next.js application (front + back end), GitHub repo, branching, CI/CD, and code review - **Optimize and maintain Sanity CMS architecture**: schemas, reusable module library, staging/production environments, and publishing workflow - **Run the global design system & component library** on the Vercel platform; spearhead AI integrations - **Build and run the site’s QA program**, including a scalable staging environment that keeps launches marketing-ready - **Lead internationalization & localization**: language-locale URL/routing architecture, `hreflang`, and the path from i18n plumbing to localized (l10n) content - **Support technical SEO**: site architecture, redirects, Core Web Vitals, and review on-page SEO executed by content partners - **Ensure LLM discoverability (AEO)** via structured data, metadata, and content architecture - **Create technical infrastructure for experimentation** to support the site’s experimentation program - **Partner with Marketing Ops** on forms, gated content, and attribution instrumentation (GTM, GA4, HubSpot) - **Maintain cybersecurity posture** and run routine safety audits across dependencies and scripts - **Ship high-velocity improvements** and launch campaign pages in a product-driven environment - **Use an AI-native workflow**: use agents in daily builds and create tooling for safe marketing publishing --- ### We’re Looking For - **Marketing web development background**—ownership of marketing sites, not just product surfaces - **Enterprise repository ownership**: branching strategy, CI/CD, and a strong code-review culture - **Headless CMS architecture experience** (Next.js + Sanity strongly preferred) - **Modern React ecosystem** and **Vercel** production platform experience - **AI-native development**: demonstrate concrete use of AI agents/tooling in your workflow - **High ownership & accountability**—a “hand raiser” who thrives in an ambitious environment - **Technical leadership**:
