**Executive Director – Health Informatics** **Overview** Prime Healthcare is an award-winning health system headquartered in Ontario, California. With over 60,000 employees and physicians, Prime Healthcare is actively seeking new members to join our corporate team. **Responsibilities** - Lead the day-to-day operations of the Health Informatics department - Drive strategic direction, data governance, and regulatory compliance for patient records and health data systems enterprise-wide - Direct planning, development, and execution of electronic medical records (EMR) and data analytics systems - Ensure patient data operations comply with federal and state laws, including **HIPAA** - Maintain high standards for data quality, medical coding, record retention, and information security - Oversee applicable vendors, evaluate system upgrades, and manage technology investment - Mentor departmental managers and other subordinates - Collaborate with medical staff and other departments to improve clinical workflow - Maintain operations within budgetary parameters and perform other duties as assigned while upholding professional service standards **Qualifications** **Required** - Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field with **10+ years** of experience **OR** Master’s degree with **7+ years** of experience - Knowledge of Health Informatics department processes and the application/evaluation of qualitative issues - **Registered Health Information Administrator (R.H.I.A.)** certification - Knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements for medical staff documentation **Preferred** - Expert knowledge of EMR architecture, data analytics, risk management, and healthcare policy - Completion of a management or business course **Pay Transparency / Total Rewards** Prime Healthcare offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package (including paid time off, 401K, medical/dental/vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and more).
