Through a network of credit union and bank partners, Splash has refinanced **$6B+** in loans and raised **$135M+** from investors including DST Global, Citi Ventures, TruStage Ventures, Northwestern Mutual Future Ventures, and Detroit Venture Partners. ## About the Workplace - **Remote-first** (collections team works in-person in Arizona) - Startup energy: fast-paced, nimble, and mission-driven - Guided by values: **Own It**, **Raise the Bar**, **Say the Hard Thing**, **Elevate Each Other** ## What You’ll Do - Develop and enhance the **React** and **Next.js** website: build new features, optimize existing functionality, and ensure high performance - Partner with backend engineers working in **PHP** and **Clojure** to deliver cohesive end-to-end features - Lead projects from inception to delivery, collaborating closely with Product Managers and engineers - Write technical design documents - Create and manage **Jira** cards to drive clarity and accountability - Design, execute, and monitor **A/B tests** using feature flags; evaluate impact on user behavior and business metrics - Implement and maintain **observability** (alerts, monitors, dashboards) for proactive monitoring and troubleshooting - Maintain production stability: investigate and fix bugs and support a smooth user experience - Work fully remote and participate actively in a highly collaborative culture ## What You’ll Bring - **10+ years** software development experience, including: - **5+ years** with **React** - **2+ years** in a true full stack or backend-intensive environment - Strong **performance optimization** skills for React applications - Solid **UI/UX** understanding, component libraries, and responsive design - Experience with **CI/CD** pipelines and modern deployment strategies - Familiarity with **logging, monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and metrics** - Comfortable collaborating with Product, Design, and Frontend/Backend engineers - Growth mindset and high engagement ### Bonus (Preferred) - Leadership experience - **Next.js** expertise (SSR, SSG, API routes, dynamic routing) ## Our Tech Stack - **Frontend:** React, Next.js, ClojureScript - **Backend:** Clojure - **Data:** PostgreSQL - **Architecture:** Service-oriented, event-driven systems - **Infrastructure:** AWS, Kubernetes, serverless architecture, CI/CD pipelines ## Compensation Base salary range: **$140,000–$200,000** annually (based on market data and internal practices). Bonus eligibility may apply based on individual and company performance.
