## Quantitative Researcher — Model Scaling ### Team Responsibilities The Factors Research Platform and Governance team builds and modernizes the infrastructure, tooling, and frameworks that power MSCI’s quantitative risk and factor model research. The team enables researchers to iterate quickly, maintain model governance, and deliver production-quality outputs at scale. ### Key Responsibilities - Design and build modern research infrastructure integrating AI to accelerate model development, validation, and reporting workflows - Develop tools and frameworks that help researchers move from high-level specifications to production-ready implementations with minimal manual overhead - Build and maintain automated validation, testing, and governance pipelines for quantitative models - Write production-level code to support platform development and model delivery - Support existing factor and risk models while evolving the platform to enable faster research iteration - Collaborate cross-functionally with research, engineering, and data teams - Present complex systems and methods to a broad range of audiences ### Skills & Experience - M.S. or Ph.D. in Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline - Strong software engineering skills, especially in **Python** - Hands-on experience with modern AI-assisted development tools and workflows, with the ability to stay current and apply new AI capabilities day-to-day - Experience building systems and tooling that leverage **AI/LLMs** to augment technical workflows - Data analysis experience with large-scale data infrastructure - Econometrics and applied statistics - Ability to work independently and drive projects from design through delivery - Knowledge of finance or risk modeling is preferred (not required) ### About MSCI — What We Offer - **Salary range:** $201,000 – $261,000 / year, plus an eligible annual bonus - Transparent compensation and comprehensive benefits (tailored to your location) - Flexible working arrangements, advanced technology, and collaborative workspaces - A culture of high performance and innovation - Global network of talented colleagues - Learning and development opportunities (including Learning@MSCI and AI Learning Center) - Multi-directional career paths and internal mobility - Inclusion-focused environment with Employee Resource Groups ### Equal Opportunity MSCI is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
