Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (ArsenalOS Deployment)
Anduril Industries · Santa Ana, California, United States
About this role
### Anduril Industries — Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (ArsenalOS Deployment) **About Anduril** Anduril is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. Its family of systems is powered by **Lattice OS**, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a real-time, 3D command and control center. **About the Team (Maritime Digital Production / MDP)** Maritime Digital Production (MDP) builds and deploys the full technology stack that powers Anduril’s shipbuilding factories—covering the data infrastructure, the **manufacturing execution system (ArsenalOS)**, scheduling, and AI systems that reduce manual toil across the shop floor and business operations. MDP operates at the boundary of **Operational Technology (OT)** and **Information Technology (IT)**. When systems go down, **production stops**—so reliability and security are critical. --- ### About the Job As a **Staff Full Stack Software Engineer** on the **ArsenalOS Deployment** initiative, you’ll build full-stack web applications for daily planning, work assignment, and team-lead dashboards on the factory floor. You’ll develop **offline-capable, mobile-friendly** interfaces for network-constrained environments where reliability and usability are non-negotiable. You will **own Maritime-specific manufacturing software requirements end to end**, including decisions on whether to build vs. extend for each ask—spanning shop-floor execution today and extending to whatever **MES, ERP, and adjacent manufacturing capabilities** Maritime needs next. --- ### What You’ll Do - Build full-stack web applications for daily production planning, work assignment, and operational dashboards. - Create offline-capable, mobile-friendly interfaces for factory-floor use in intermittent connectivity environments. - Partner with manufacturing engineers and factory operators to translate workflows into software requirements. - Write production-quality code with comprehensive tests; participate in code review and architecture discussions. - Implement robust **offline-first** architectures (service workers, local storage, background sync). - Build responsive, touch-optimized mobile interfaces for harsh environments (gloves, low light, vibration). - Architect data synchronization with conflict resolution and data integrity between edge devices and backend systems. - Deploy and operate systems in factory environments, including edge compute clusters and OT networks. - Use AI tooling (coding assistants, automation) and contribute to team engineering practices. - Join an on-call rotation supporting production factory systems. - Collaborate cross-functionally across backend, data, factory systems, and operations teams. - Set technical direction and mentor junior engineers. --- ### Required Qualifications - **8+ years** of software engineering experience building production systems (fast-paced environments preferred). - Deep expertise in **full-stack web development** (frontend + backend). - Strong fluency in modern architectures, APIs, distributed systems, **CI/CD**, and cloud/edge infrastructure. - Proficiency with web technologies including **JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js**. - Experience building **offline-capable** web apps (service workers, IndexedDB, local storage, PWA patterns). - Experience operating reliably under real-world constraints (high availability, low latency, constrained environments)
