About this role

**Staff Full-Stack Software Engineer, Manufacturing Software (ArsenalOS Deployment)** **About Anduril** Anduril Industries is a defense technology company on a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. Anduril’s systems are powered by **Lattice OS**, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a real-time, 3D command and control center. **About the Team (Maritime Digital Production / MDP)** Maritime Digital Production (MDP) is the software and digital systems function within Anduril’s Heavy Metal division. MDP builds and deploys the full technology stack that powers Anduril’s shipbuilding factories—covering data infrastructure, the **ArsenalOS** manufacturing execution system, scheduling, and AI systems that reduce manual toil. MDP operates at the boundary between **Operational Technology (OT)** and **Information Technology (IT)**, incubating solutions close to the production line, validating with real operators, hardening for reliability and security, and scaling across multiple sites. **About the Job** As a **Staff Full Stack Software Engineer** on the **ArsenalOS Deployment** initiative, you will build full-stack web applications that support daily planning, work assignment, and team-lead dashboards on the factory floor. You’ll develop **offline-capable, mobile-friendly** interfaces for network-constrained environments where **reliability and usability** are non-negotiable. You will own Maritime-specific manufacturing software requirements end to end and make build-vs-extend decisions across MES/ERP and adjacent manufacturing capabilities. --- ## What You’ll Do - Build full-stack web applications for daily production planning, work assignment, and operational dashboards. - Create offline-capable, mobile-friendly interfaces for factory-floor use in intermittent connectivity environments. - Partner with manufacturing engineers and factory operators to translate workflows into software requirements. - Write production-quality code with comprehensive tests; participate in code review and architecture discussions. - Implement robust **offline-first** architectures (service workers, local storage, background sync). - Build responsive, touch-optimized mobile interfaces for harsh manufacturing environments (e.g., gloves, low light, vibration). - Architect data synchronization strategies with conflict resolution and data integrity between edge devices and backend systems. - Deploy and operate systems in factory environments, including edge compute clusters and OT networks. - Use AI tooling (coding assistants/automation) and contribute to team engineering practices. - Participate in an on-call rotation supporting production factory systems. - Collaborate cross-functionally with backend, data, factory systems, and operations teams to integrate with MES, data pipelines, and enterprise systems. - Set technical direction and mentor junior engineers. --- ## Required Qualifications - **8+ years** of software engineering experience building production systems (fast-paced environments preferred). - Deep expertise in **full-stack web development** (frontend + backend). - Strong fluency in modern architectures, APIs, distributed systems, CI/CD, and cloud or edge infrastructure. - Proficiency with web technologies including **JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js**, and modern web frameworks. - Experience building **offline-capable** web apps using service workers,
