Captivation is looking for software developers who can get stuff done while making a difference in support of the mission to protect our country. ## Description Captivation Software is looking for a mid-level software engineer responsible for developing, sustaining, and troubleshooting the software suite of applications. Software development activities include implementation, testing, and integration with other COTS, GOTS, and FOSS products, packages, and libraries. ## Requirements ### Security Clearance - Must currently hold a **Top Secret/SCI** U.S. Government security clearance with a **favorable Polygraph**; therefore, all candidates must be a **U.S. citizen**. ### Minimum Qualifications - **Master’s degree** in Computer Science (or related discipline) + **3 years** experience as a SWE on programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. - **Bachelor’s degree** in Computer Science (or related discipline) + **5 years** experience as a SWE on programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. - **7 years** experience as a SWE on programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. ### Required Skills - Experience using the **Linux CLI** - Experience developing scripts using **Bash** - Recent **Python (3.x)** software development experience - Experience with **NoSQL** databases including **MongoDB** - Experience with containerization technologies such as **Docker** - Experience with **CI/CD** principles, methodologies, and tools including **GitLab CI** - Familiar with **Kubernetes** - Familiar with **Helm Charts** to deploy containerized services on Kubernetes - Familiar with messaging frameworks including **RabbitMQ** - Familiar with **IaC** principles, methodologies, and tools such as **Ansible** - Experience with **Git** source control system ### Desired Skills - Experience with **SQL** databases including **PostgreSQL** - Experience with the **Atlassian Tool Suite** (JIRA, Confluence) ## Hiring Note **Direct hires only.** We will not consider candidates from third-party staffing/recruiting firms. ## Benefits - **Annual Salary:** $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on years of experience) - **Up to 20% 401(k) contribution** (No matching required; vested from day 1) - **Above market hourly rates** - **$3,600 HSA contribution** - **6 weeks paid time off** - Company-paid **Medical/Dental/Vision**, **Life Insurance**, **Short-Term & Long-Term Disability**, **AD&D**
