Captivation is looking for software developers who can get stuff done while making a difference in support of the mission to protect our country. --- ## Description Captivation Software is looking for a mid-level Software Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining tools and services in support of the project’s suite of products, including **GitLab, Artifactory, MinIO, GitLab Runner, Jupyter, and SPARTANDESK (Linux virtual desktop)**. You will work closely with cross-functional teams (software developers, system administrators, project managers, and mission customers) to deliver seamless integrations that enhance productivity and streamline workflows. --- ## Requirements ### Security Clearance - **Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph**; therefore, all candidates must be **U.S. citizens**. ### Minimum Qualifications - **Master’s degree** in Computer Science (or related) + **3 years** experience as a SWE (programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity) - **Bachelor’s degree** in Computer Science (or related) + **5 years** experience as a SWE (programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity) - **7 years** experience as a SWE (programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity) ### Required Skills - Experience using the **Linux CLI** and **Linux tools** - Experience writing **Bash/Python/PHP** scripts to automate administrative tasks and workflows - Extensive software development experience with **Java** - Experience using an IDE such as the **Atlassian plugin SDK** - Experience with **IaC** principles and automation tools such as **Ansible** - Experience creating documentation of configurations, procedures, and system changes - Experience with **CI/CD** principles, methodologies, and tools such as **GitLab CI** - Experience with **containerization** technologies such as **Docker** - Experience with **Git** (source code management, branching strategies, team collaboration) ### Desired Skills - Experience with the **Atlassian Tool Suite** (JIRA, Confluence) - Experience sustaining mission applications deployed in a Linux environment - Experience interacting/training external customers --- **Note:** This position is open for **direct hires only**.
