Captivation is looking for a **Senior Systems Administrator** who can get stuff done while making a difference in support of the mission to protect our country. --- ## Description Captivation Software is looking for a **Senior-level Systems Administrator** responsible for supporting a large-scale **Linux** system, including: - Installation of **COTS/GOTS/FOSS** software - Day-to-day operations - Monitoring and problem resolution across **compute, network, memory, and storage** components - Maintaining **system security integrity** - Configuring **network components** - Implementing OS enhancements to improve **reliability and performance** --- ## Requirements ### Security Clearance - Must currently hold a **Top Secret/SCI** U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable **Polygraph** - Therefore, all candidates must be **U.S. citizens** ### Minimum Qualifications - **15 years** experience as a Systems Administrator in programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity - **Bachelor’s degree** in a technical discipline from an accredited college/university - **5 additional years** Systems Administration experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree - **Security+ Certification** required ### Required Skills - Experience using the **Linux CLI** - Scripting experience using **Bash/Python** - System Administration experience: installation, configuration, and support of **COTS/GOTS/FOSS** software in a large-scale Linux cluster environment - General technical knowledge of **compute, network, memory, and storage** components - Experience with **Red Hat Satellite** - Familiarity with **Splunk** (ingest, index, search, monitor, analyze big data) - Experience sustaining/supporting large Linux clusters (operations, monitoring, problem resolution) - Experience configuring and sustaining **VMware ESXi / virtualization** environments - **IaC (Infrastructure as Code)** principles and automation tools such as **SaltStack** and **Ansible** - Experience with corporate **STE/STN** security compliance policies and procedures - Experience with monitoring tools such as **HPE One View** and **Nagios** - Experience with containerization technologies such as **Docker** ### Desired Skills - Experience with **Kubernetes** - Experience with distributed file systems such as **Weka, Ceph, GPFS, HDFS** - Experience with **Atlassian** tools such as **Jira** and **Confluence** --- ## Notes **Direct hires only.** We will not consider candidates from third-party staffing/recruiting firms. --- ## Benefits - **Annual Salary:** $130,000 - $270,000 (depends on years of experience) - **Up to 20% 401k contribution** (no matching required; vested from day 1) - **Above market hourly rates** - **$3,600 HSA contribution** - **6 weeks paid time off** - Company-paid **medical/dental/vision**, **life insurance**, **short-term & long-term disability**, and **AD&D**
