**Platform Engineer (Hybrid) - DevOps/Full-Stack** ## Overview Captivation is seeking a **Platform Engineer** to support a project and **lead deployment of the production system across three network environments**. This is a **hybrid** role for a versatile engineer who can deploy and operate **containerized systems via Kubernetes** and also dive into **application code** to modify system components. The ideal candidate thrives on ownership across the **full deployment lifecycle**. ## Responsibilities - **Multi-Network Deployment:** Deploy the RAD system to **three different network environments** via Kubernetes, adapting configurations to each network’s constraints. - **Deployment Process Engineering:** Design, establish, and document a **repeatable deployment process and pipeline** for system delivery and updates. - **Application Modification:** Modify and troubleshoot components built with **Java Spring (back-end)** and **Vue.js (front-end)** to meet deployment/configuration needs. - **Environment Troubleshooting:** Diagnose and resolve issues across **infrastructure, middleware, and application layers** during environment standup and stabilization. - **Collaboration:** Partner with the **DevOps team**, software developers, and system engineers to align deployment practices with RAD architecture and operational standards. ## Requirements ### Security Clearance - Must currently hold a **Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance** with a **favorable Polygraph**; therefore, **all candidates must be U.S. citizens**. ### Minimum Qualifications - **Bachelor’s degree** from an accredited college or university. - **Master’s degree** may be substituted for **two (2) years of experience**. ### Required Skills - Hands-on experience deploying and managing **containerized applications with Kubernetes** - Experience developing or modifying applications built with **Java / Spring (Spring Boot)** - Experience developing or modifying **front-end applications with Vue.js** (or strong experience with **React or Angular**) - Thorough understanding of **Docker** and container technology - Experience with **CI/CD pipelines** and deployments of distributed web applications (e.g., **GitLab CI/CD**) - **Linux administration** experience - **Git** experience ### Desired Skills - Experience deploying across multiple **isolated or classified network environments** - **AWS** experience (cloud-native architecture and deployment) - **Terraform** scripting and VM provisioning - **Ansible** scripting and development - **Python** scripting and development - Familiarity with **Elasticsearch, NiFi, or MongoDB** - Familiarity with government agency reporting and dissemination policy domain knowledge ## Notes - **Direct hires only:** This position is open for direct hires only. **No third-party staffing/recruiting firms** will be considered. ## Benefits - **Annual Salary:** $130,000 - $270,000 (depends on years of experience) - **Up to 20% 401k contribution** (no matching required; vested from day 1) - **Above market hourly rates** - **$3,600 HSA contribution** - **6 weeks paid time off** - Company-paid **medical/dental/vision**, **life insurance**, **short-term & long-term disability**, and **AD&D**
