You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex software capabilities for computer-based systems. You will work closely with other engineers to create software solutions that meet client needs. **Onsite customer support required in Augusta, GA.** --- ## Responsibilities - Develop **Java-based** software capabilities - Bring an inquisitive mindset, responsiveness, and strong testing skills - Troubleshoot effectively and work under pressure with multiple deadlines - Work in a fast-paced, small business environment - Other duties as assigned --- ## Requirements ### Security Clearance - **Current Secret level U.S. Government security clearance required** - **U.S. Citizenship required** - Candidates with a **current TS level clearance** may be considered ### Minimum Qualifications - **At least 5 years** of experience in Software Engineering, Modern Java Frameworks/Libraries (e.g., Spring, Guava) and a **Bachelor’s** in a related field; or **3 years** with a **Master’s**; or **High School Diploma/equivalent + 9 years** relevant experience - Experience designing **enterprise APIs** - Experience with **RESTful web services** - Experience with **Microservices architecture** - Experience with **Object Oriented Programming (OOP)** paradigms - Experience with the **agile** software lifecycle - Proven ability to learn quickly; works well independently and in a team - Experience with **Linux** - Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., **Git, Nexus, Maven**) - Strong communication skills to interact with customers daily - **DoD 8570 compliance certification required** (i.e., **Security+**) - Ability to work on customer site in **Augusta, GA 2–3 days/week** (flexibility essential) ### Preferred Qualifications - Experience with **NiFi, Kafka, AWS Infrastructure, and K8s** - Experience with **cloud** technologies (AWS, Azure) - Experience with distributed databases, NoSQL, and full-text search engines (e.g., Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Solr) - **Scripting** experience (huge plus) - Prior/familiarity with the company’s **Big Data Platform** - Understanding of Agile methodologies and standard tool suites (e.g., **JIRA, Confluence, GitHub Enterprise**) --- > **Note:** This position is open for **direct hires only**.
