**DevOps Engineer (On-Call/Hybrid) - Linux/AWS/Docker/Terraform/Ansible/Git** ## Overview Captivation is seeking a **DevOps Engineer** to support a modernization effort to converge an agency’s authoring, dissemination, and related supporting tools. You’ll help deploy and maintain complex systems while troubleshooting issues and outages. ## Responsibilities - Deploy applications - Install and configure complex software - Manage network servers and supporting technology tools - Monitor and maintain systems to required performance levels - Troubleshoot issues and outages ## On-Call / Pager Schedule - Rotating pager schedule for emergency **24/7 call-in support** - Approximately **1 week out of every 3–4 weeks** - Staff may charge **4 additional hours** for the on-call week (in addition to hours worked) - On average, the first team is paged for after-hours support about **once every couple of months** (most issues resolvable by phone) ## Requirements - **Security Clearance:** Must currently hold a **Top Secret/SCI** U.S. Government security clearance with a **favorable Polygraph** (must be a **U.S. citizen**) - **Minimum Qualifications:** - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university - **3+ years** experience in software development/engineering (requirements analysis, development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and/or problem diagnosis/resolution) - Master’s degree may substitute for **2 years** experience ## Required Skills - Linux - AWS, MASH, and VMs - Docker Swarm - Deployments of distributed web applications (e.g., **GitLab CI/CD**) - **Terraform** scripting and VM provisioning - **Ansible** scripting and development - Thorough understanding of **Docker** and **Docker Compose** container technology - Git ## Desired Skills - Python scripting and development - NiFi maintenance and configuration - Elasticsearch maintenance and configuration - Java/Spring Boot (troubleshooting error logs) - HAProxy - MongoDB ## Notes - **Direct hires only:** This position is open for direct hires only. **No third-party staffing/recruiting firms** will be considered. ## Benefits - **Annual Salary:** $130,000 – $270,000 (depends on years of experience) - Up to **20% 401(k)** contribution (no matching required; vested from day 1) - Above market hourly rates - **$3,600 HSA contribution** - **6 weeks paid time off** - Company-paid medical/dental/vision, life insurance, short-term & long-term disability, and AD&D
