**Liftoff** is a leading AI-powered performance marketing platform for the mobile app economy. Our end-to-end technology stack helps app marketers acquire and retain high-value users, while enabling publishers to maximize revenue across programmatic and direct demand. The **Infrastructure Team** at Liftoff builds the tooling needed to manage and monitor thousands of servers running dozens of services—covering host provisioning/configuration, rapid code deployment, service configuration and monitoring, and automated code testing and linting. Liftoff moves hundreds of TB of data each day, and this team owns much of the infrastructure powering our real-time data pipelines. --- ### What you’ll do (Software Engineer) - Own projects end-to-end and collaborate with a small team of world-class engineers. - Ship code multiple times a day and see measurable impact on millions of users and business revenue within seconds. - Contribute to an “engineering excellence” culture with state-of-the-art tools, risk-driven testing, explainable systems, and code review. - Become an authority in **Go** and other cutting-edge open-source technologies. - Join a nimble, consistently excellent, experienced engineering team. ### Desired qualities & experience - Strong coding ability (**Go** experience is a plus, but not required). - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related) and **5+ years** software engineering experience. - Solid core CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, system architecture). - Experience with major cloud technologies (**AWS, Azure, or GCP**). - Experience building high-scale distributed systems and backend architectures. - Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and get things done. - Genuine interest and/or experience debugging complex distributed systems. ### Nice to have - Expertise in **Kafka**. - Expertise in **data**. --- ### Location / Remote - Preferred: **Pacific Standard Time Zone** - Eligible for full-time remote work in: **CA, CO, ID, IL, FL, GA, MA, MI, MN, MO, NJ, NV, NY, OR, PA, TX, UT, WA** - Remote-first company with US hubs in **Redwood City, Los Angeles, and New York City**. ### Travel expectations - In-person team gatherings (project meetings, regional meetups, company-wide events) - Expectation: attend **at least once per quarter**. ### Compensation Liftoff offers a full compensation package including **equity** and **health/vision/dental benefits** (based on country of residence).
