About this role
**Staff Security Engineer, Security Enablement** ## About the Team Global Safety and Security (GSS) protects our people, sites, and the physical and logical systems that keep the business running. Security and protection programs are never single-team efforts—rollouts can span physical security operations, customer experiences, site readiness, hardware provisioning, networking, cloud infrastructure, identity, and data platforms across many countries and timelines. We’re hiring a **Staff Security Engineer** to design and deliver strategic, durable security services. You’ll own the technical and architectural plan, partner engagement with technology providers, delivery sequence and dependencies, and program status leadership relies on. You’ll collaborate across software engineering, third-party providers, physical security operations, project managers for site readiness/provisioning, and networking/cloud infrastructure partners—while keeping managers, directors, and senior leaders informed. Security Enablement Engineering delivers “security paved paths” and capabilities that address systemic security issues through well-designed customer experiences and robust, well-architected security solutions—systematically reducing organizational risk. ## You’ll Own - **Physical security systems integration layer**: access control (PACS) and video management (VMS) platforms, their exposed APIs, and connectors feeding data into systems of record. - **End-to-end multi-domain security services** across physical security systems, hardware provisioning/site readiness, cloud & network infrastructure, identity & access management, key management, and reporting/observability. - **Partner with software engineers** from design through implementation to ensure correct security outcomes; propose/review architecture; deliver resilient, secure, scalable solutions; maintain interface contracts; support production services. - **Cloud footprint ownership** of the security stack (AWS services, identity/network boundaries). - **Execution of complex, ambiguous initiatives** using detailed working-backwards plans (outcome + date → dependency chain, critical path, owners, and decisions per gate). - **Risk management**: surface/manage delivery risks early with a well-maintained risk register (owner, mitigation, delivery date). - **Unblocking & escalation**: resolve cross-team friction through collaboration; escalate early with recommendations and tradeoffs. - **Single source of truth on status**: concise written updates for senior leaders (on track, at risk, changes, decisions needed) and strong stakeholder management. - **Drive technical decisions to closure**: frame tradeoffs, recommend build/buy tooling, and document decisions and rationale. - **Contribute to vision/strategy/success metrics**; mentor engineers and program managers; review plans and coach on written status/risk framing; help raise operational and security bar; identify automation opportunities. ## We’re Excited If You Have - Led **multi-team, multi-quarter technical programs** and owned outcomes across organizational boundaries. - Deep expertise in **at least three** security engineering domains, with broad understanding across many (e.g., IAM, physical security systems, security operations, detection/response, DevSecOps, security architecture/engineering, network security). - Ability to read network diagrams, reason about cloud deployment topology, understand hardware/firmware lifecycles, and discu
