## Engineering Manager — Network Health ### About Plaid Plaid powers tools that help millions of people connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they use. Plaid’s Network Health team protects Plaid and its network from fraud and abuse by building robust, intelligent, and flexible risk platforms and services. ### Role Summary As an Engineering Manager for Network Health, you’ll lead a growing, deeply technical team responsible for risk engineering at Plaid. You’ll set the long-term strategy and roadmap, translate evolving fraud scenarios and business requirements into technical priorities, and drive execution with a high technical bar. ### Responsibilities - Lead a team of **5 engineers** and **2 embedded data scientists**, including coaching, feedback, and clear goal setting - Own the **Network Health** long-term strategy and roadmap in close partnership with technical and product leaders - Uphold a **high bar for technical quality** and delivery velocity—leading by example - Dive hands-on into the **data and tech stack** to understand metrics, trends, and opportunities, then guide technical decisions ### Nice to Have - **8+ years** of industry experience, including time as a **Staff-level engineer** before transitioning into management - **2+ years** of engineering management experience - Experience setting strategy and executing roadmaps in **ambiguous environments** while balancing business, product, and technical tradeoffs - Strong technical judgment in **backend and data-intensive systems**, with ability to engage in architecture, system design, coding, and data analysis - Experience in **risk engineering, fraud detection, abuse prevention, trust & safety**, or a related domain - Track record of building and growing **high-performing engineering teams** ### Mission & Equal Opportunity Plaid’s mission is to unlock financial freedom for everyone.
