**EPIC Application Coord - Professional Billing** **Overview** The Application Coordinator is responsible for the design, build, testing, validation, and ongoing support of clinical and/or revenue cycle applications. This role obtains and maintains the appropriate Epic certification, develops in-depth knowledge of Epic functionality, and learns the clinical/revenue cycle workflows to be implemented. The coordinator provides periodic on-call coverage on a 24/7 basis to deliver **Tier III** support for Epic clinical and/or revenue cycle applications. The role also implements configuration changes approved by the appropriate committee and partners with clinical/financial stakeholders to design future-state workflows and build the system to support them. As a representative of the Information Services team, the Application Coordinator establishes and maintains critical business relationships with Piedmont coworkers, physicians, and others who use or interact with the Epic application suite. **Responsibilities** - Design, build, test, validate, and support clinical and/or revenue cycle applications - Obtain and maintain appropriate Epic certification - Maintain in-depth knowledge of Epic software functionality - Learn and apply clinical/revenue cycle workflows for system implementation - Provide periodic 24/7 on-call coverage and deliver Tier III support - Implement Epic configuration changes as approved by the appropriate committee - Collaborate with clinical/financial representatives to design future-state workflows - Work across interdisciplinary workgroups to achieve team goals - Maintain key business relationships with internal and external Epic stakeholders **Qualifications** - **Education:** Bachelor’s Degree **or** current clinical licensure in nursing, radiology, pharmacy, respiratory, or related field (**Required**) - **OR** in lieu of degree/licensure: **4 years** experience in business administration, information technology, science, healthcare, or related field (**Required**) - **Work Experience:** - **3 years** healthcare or IT experience, including **1 year** EMR (Electronic Medical Record) application experience (**Required**) - **OR** in lieu of degree/licensure: **7 years** healthcare or IT experience, including **1 year** EMR application experience (**Required**) - **Preferred:** **1 year** working directly with Epic applications in a clinical or IS field relevant to the position **Licenses & Certifications** - Current Epic certification (**Required**) - Active Epic proficiency achieved with a score of **90** (**Required**) **Business Unit** - Piedmont Healthcare Corporate
