Their mission is to help researchers find cures faster, empower clinicians, and help families make more informed care decisions. **Location** Based out of headquarters in the **Greater Seattle area** *(#LI-hybrid)*. --- **The Role** As a **Senior Software Engineer**, you’ll own major pieces of the platform’s next-generation architecture. You’ll scale the normalization service for both the **volume** and **variety** of workloads—building a flexible system that keeps pace with growing data and expanding data sources. **What “Normalization” means here** Health systems describe diagnoses, labs, and medications in many different ways. Truveta’s platform maps each to a **standard medical concept**, enabling researchers to study data from multiple health systems as one. --- **We’re seeking backend engineers who** - Build **reliable, secure, and scalable** software using modern cloud paradigms - Are quick learners who can evolve distributed systems while balancing **privacy, security, and reliability** - Have experience designing and working with **distributed systems, data pipelines, and APIs** - Can guide workstreams, **mentor junior developers**, and foster a positive environment - Adhere to Truveta principles supporting **ethical innovation** - Commit to ongoing training on **privacy, ethics, and security** --- **Key Qualifications** - **5+ years** building production-quality software in a team setting - Experience building **cloud services or data pipelines** in **Java, Python, or C#** - Experience building/supporting **cross-platform, multi-tenant services** - **2+ years** on cloud-native platforms (**AWS, GCP, or Azure**) - **B.S. or M.S.** in Computer Science or related field **Nice to have** - InfraOps / DevOps experience - **Kubernetes** experience - Healthcare domain experience - Experience with **AI agents**
