## DayDream — Senior Software Engineer (Frontend) DayDream helps dentists get paid for the work they do. In a complex $165B market, our product simplifies verifying insurance coverage, submitting claims, appealing denials, billing patients, and maintaining clean books—so dentists can keep more of their revenue. --- ### The Role We’re looking for a **frontend-focused engineer** to build the UI foundation and interactive experiences that make complex insurance and financial workflows understandable and usable. --- ### Responsibilities - Create and maintain a **reusable component library** in **React/Next.js** from the ground up - Build **interactive workflows** that visualize complex insurance and financial data - Continually raise the bar for **UI/UX polish** - Bring **structure and craft** to the frontend codebase, with focus on **accessibility, performance, and responsiveness** - Help establish **frontend patterns, design systems, and interface conventions** --- ### Signs You’re a Good Fit - Experience building **“power tools”**: complex, multi-step interfaces with high functionality - Deep experience with **React** and **Next.js** - Deep experience optimizing **React performance** - Built and maintained a **scalable component system / design system** - Strong design sensibility and a high bar for **UI polish** and interaction --- ### Current Problems to Solve - How to build a **maintainable component library** - How to **virtualize large tables** - How to build **reusable page layouts** for consistency across the app - How to build UIs that let users configure **complex data pipeline schemas** in a **no-code** way - How to make the UI **as dense as possible** to increase productivity while staying usable for non-technical users --- ### Team - **Anton Lin (Co-Founder, CTO)**: Formerly co-founded Scout; scaled to $1M ARR before an exit to StockX; built/grown multiple SaaS businesses; UC Berkeley dropout (3 weeks) - **Shreyas Parab (Co-Founder, CEO)**: Former first employee at a YC W23 startup; special projects for Dan Gilbert; started/grew a D2C brand to $75k annual sales; started/sold ed-tech company; Stanford student leadership; Stanford Biomedical Computation (Engineering team currently **< 5 people**, including former founders, early engineers from Ramp, NSA recruits, and Michelin star chefs.)
