## DayDream — Senior Software Engineer (Platform) ### About the company DayDream helps dentists get paid for the work they do. In a complex $165B market, our product simplifies verifying insurance coverage, submitting claims, appealing denials, billing patients, and maintaining clean books—so dentists can reduce lost revenue and improve the patient experience. ### The role We’re looking for a **Platform Engineer** (frontend-focused) who’s obsessed with building **fast, reliable, and secure systems**—and giving product engineers the tools they need to ship with confidence. You’ll be the backbone of our **infrastructure, observability, and deployment pipeline**, owning areas like monitoring/alerting, networking, security, and CI/CD. ### Responsibilities - Own **observability** (Datadog): monitoring, alerting, and self-healing - Build and maintain **secure, scalable cloud infrastructure** (AWS + Terraform) - Help achieve **HIPAA** and **SOC 2** compliance - Own **CI/CD pipelines** to ship safely and frequently - Create **complex dev/staging environments** - Set up and manage **data infrastructure** to support product and analytics use cases ### What we’re looking for - You’ve been the **first infra hire** or **platform lead** at a startup - You’ve built tools that made other engineers **10x more productive** - You have strong opinions on infrastructure, while staying pragmatic about tradeoffs ### Team - **Anton Lin (Co-Founder, CTO):** Former co-founder of Scout; scaled to $1M ARR before an exit to StockX; built and grew multiple SaaS businesses to 7 figures; UC Berkeley dropout (3 weeks!) - **Shreyas Parab (Co-Founder, CEO):** Former first employee at a YC W23 startup; special projects for billionaire Dan Gilbert; started and grew a D2C brand to $75k in annual sales; started/sold an ed-tech company; Stanford Biomedical Computation *Engineering team is currently under 5 people, with a mix of former founders, early engineers from Ramp, NSA recruits, and more.*
