## About the Role H&R Block is looking for a **Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst** with strong test engineering skills to help build quality into every stage of the software development lifecycle. This role goes beyond executing test cases—you’ll design test strategies, develop and maintain automated tests, validate complex end-to-end workflows, and partner closely with engineers and product teams to identify risks early. ## What You’ll Do (Day to Day) - Write **test plans, test cases, use cases,** and **test strategy** documents in compliance with relevant organizational and industry standards - Create **clearly documented defect reports** that enable issues to be recreated, including suitable workarounds - Develop **complete, thorough manual test cases** based on test design and deep product/environment knowledge - Ensure high-quality outcomes by executing manual tests that fully exercise product functionality while using resources efficiently - Use **test automation** where appropriate to increase testing thoroughness - Execute **end-to-end functional tests** and leverage automated tests developed by others - Provide input into **requirements documents**, participate in reviews, and give feedback based on product knowledge and customer needs - Create **work plans** for deliverables, document personal goals/plans/designs/results, and communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences - Contribute to **end-to-end product testing strategy**, with a focus on the **customer experience** ## Required Qualifications - **High school diploma or equivalent** - **Minimum 1 year** related work experience - Detail-oriented and process-driven approach - Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and cross-team communication skills - Experience in **quality assurance, business analysis, software testing,** or **technical support** - Hands-on experience with representative technologies - Knowledge of all phases of the **software development life cycle** - Understanding of software/hardware testing fundamentals, including **positive and negative testing** - Self-sufficient, self-starter mindset with ability to prioritize efficiently - Strong research skills ## Why Work for Us At H&R Block, the purpose is to provide help and inspire confidence in clients and communities.
