## Director, Telecommunications Operations & Delivery ### Responsibilities - Join Peraton in advancing the safety, efficiency, and modernization of the **National Airspace System (NAS)** through the FAA’s **Brand New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS)** contract. - Lead the **design, integration, and deployment** of **network and data communication systems** supporting the FAA’s BNATC program. - Manage the **performance, reliability, and security** of network infrastructure connecting **automation, voice, surveillance, and control systems** across the NAS. - Oversee implementation of **WAN/LAN connectivity**, **IP routing**, and **fiber/copper infrastructure**, coordinating **FAA enterprise services** and **leased circuits** across hundreds of FAA sites. - Provide Director-level leadership translating strategic objectives into operational execution, ensuring **customer satisfaction, technical excellence, workforce performance, financial stewardship, and program growth**. **Key leadership areas:** - **Strategic Program Leadership**: Lead operational and technical workstream leadership; oversee end-to-end execution of NEEDS Package activities; deliver contractual requirements across **cost, schedule, quality, and performance**. - **Operational Leadership**: Plan, integrate, and deploy telecommunications and data network infrastructure across FAA sites; optimize resource allocation across programs; coordinate with FAA enterprise telecom teams, field techs, carriers, and vendors for site activations and transitions. - **Technical Program Execution**: Drive complex engineering initiatives from planning through deployment; manage scope, schedule, technical baselines, dependencies, and integration across disciplines; lead technical reviews, milestone assessments, operational readiness reviews, and executive decision forums. - **Financial & Business Management (P&L Responsibility)**: Support Workstream Lead with **multi-million-dollar P&L**; develop and execute operating plans, budgets, labor forecasts, and revenue projections; monitor financial health (revenue, margin, utilization, backlog, burn rates, cost performance); support proposal/capture and transition planning. - **Customer Engagement**: Build trusted relationships with FAA and Peraton leadership; lead executive program reviews, customer briefings, milestone reviews, and operational governance. - **Risk, Compliance & Governance**: Lead enterprise risk management across operational, technical, financial, and schedule performance; drive quality assurance and continuous service improvement; resolve complex technical and organizational issues. ### Work Location - **On-site** in **Herndon, VA** ### Qualifications **Required** - **U.S. Citizenship** with ability to obtain/maintain an **active FAA Public Trust clearance** - **16+ years** experience deploying and managing telecommunications infrastructure (ideally federal/aviation) - Proven success managing and delivering federal IT programs with **annual budgets exceeding $100M+** - Experience managing **P&L** for large federal programs (budgeting, forecasting, labor management, cost control, revenue/margin performance, financial reporting) - Deep understanding of **TDM and IP-based network architectures**, including **MPLS**, **BGP**, **OSPF**, and **WAN/LAN design** - Experience delivering telecommunications modernization using **Agile** (time-boxed execution, story-based planning) - Hands-on risk identification, mitigation, and issue
