About this role

**Product Operations Engineer — Counter Intrusion** **About Anduril** Anduril Industries is a defense technology company on a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by **Lattice OS**, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a real-time, 3D command and control center. **About the Team** The **Counter-Intrusion Business Line** works on products that enable operators to protect people and assets from threats on land and sea. The team is deployed across major global operating theaters and supports a variety of mission sets across U.S. Government and allied partners. **About the Job** As a **Product Operations Engineer** on the Counter-Intrusion product operations team, you’ll architect how we observe, maintain, and evolve our deployed fleet. Where others respond to incidents, you build the systems, queries, and processes that help prevent them. You’ll design and develop **uptime reporting**, plan and execute **software deployments** to towers, create and refine **monitoring solutions** for both new and legacy products, and author the **runbooks and SOPs** the broader team relies on daily. **What You’ll Do** - Design, develop, and maintain **queries and dashboards** for uptime reporting across the deployed fleet, translating telemetry into actionable fleet health metrics - Serve as the **product operations planner and executor** for software changes deployed to towers, owning the end-to-end lifecycle (validation → rollout → post-deployment verification) - Partner with tower software engineering to develop and tailor **monitoring solutions** for new deployments (observability built in from day one) - Improve and optimize monitoring for **legacy products**, closing coverage gaps and reducing alert noise - Continuously author, update, and refine **runbooks, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides** - Assess and raise the quality of fleet observability and telemetry with product/engineering teams, driving standards for “good monitoring” - Analyze fleet-wide operational data to identify **reliability trends** and surface issues before they become incidents - Define and implement **process improvements** for deployment workflows, incident response procedures, and operational tooling - Develop and maintain **automation** to reduce manual operational overhead across the fleet **Required Qualifications** - **5+ years** in a technical operations or engineering role with hands-on responsibility for production systems - Experience in product operations, technical support, or SRE supporting deployed hardware/software systems, with increasing scope and ownership - Proficiency building **monitoring queries, dashboards, and alerting** using observability platforms such as **Datadog, Grafana**, or similar - Experience planning and executing **software deployments** to distributed systems (rollout strategy, validation, rollback) - Scripting/automation skills (e.g., **Python, Bash**) with a track record of building tooling that improves operational efficiency - Experience with **Git** and issue tracking tools such as **Jira** - Ability to author clear technical documentation (runbooks, SOPs, troubleshooting guides) - Proven ability to work independently, identify what needs to be built, and deliver without close direction - Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills - **Active U.S. security clearance required** **Preferred Quali
