We move with urgency, precision, and heart. --- ## About the Role — Technical Lead (Engineering) As a Technical Lead, you’ll split your time between: - **Writing production code** - **Elevating engineers around you** through mentorship, technical guidance, and direct management You’ll be expected to move aggressively, commit code regularly, and see your work in the wild with live users—while also unblocking your team, reviewing code, and helping engineers grow. --- ## What You’ll Do ### Technical Leadership - Analyze product requirements and deliver **high-quality, production-ready code** and a best-in-class user experience - Build and maintain **new user-facing features** (from database models to UI components) - Own the **technical architecture** for major initiatives and guide the team through complex decisions - Create **services and APIs** to power existing and new web app features - Maintain system health: refactor, improve, and keep the codebase robust and resilient - Write clear specs to support stress-free deployments - Drive large releases to production on a **continuous deployment** cadence - Set technical standards for code quality, testing, and engineering excellence ### People Leadership - Directly manage **2–6 engineers** (1:1s, performance reviews, career development) - Mentor engineers through pairing sessions and thoughtful code reviews - Unblock your team (technical challenges, process bottlenecks, cross-functional coordination) - Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement - Participate in hiring: interview candidates and assess technical skills - Partner with product and design to translate vision into executable technical plans --- ## What You Bring to the Table - **7+ years** of relevant experience across **frontend and backend**, with a track record of shipping high-impact products - Experience leading, mentoring, or managing engineers (formal or informal) - Strong **React** fundamentals and experience with **TypeScript/Node** - An intuitive understanding of what it takes to create **delightful, consumer-oriented experiences** - Experience in a fast-moving startup environment (wearing multiple hats) - Exceptional communication skills to influence product direction and align stakeholders - **Bias toward action** and execution - Ability to balance hands-on technical work with people management - Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to create structure where none exists --- ## Our Tech Stack - **TypeScript** across all applications - **NestJS** API with **TypeORM** - **Postgres**, **Redis** - **React** + Custom UI library built on **shadcn** and **Tailwind** - **GCP** --- ## Location Applicants must be based in the **United States**. --- ## Fraudulent Recruitment Advisory Solace Health will **NEVER** request bank details or offer employment without an interview.
