Learn more: https://www.aidash.com --- **The Role (Staff Engineer - Backend)** We’re looking for a **Staff Engineer** to architect and build the services behind new products incubated in our product pods. You’ll own back-end architecture for **multi-tenant SaaS** products from first pilot through production scale, make and defend language/framework decisions for each new product, and design the **APIs and tool surfaces** that let **AI agents** work with our data. This is a **hands-on** role: you’ll write code, ship pilots, and set the technical bar for engineers around you. --- **How you’ll make an impact** - Architect multi-tenant SaaS and distributed back-end systems that scale with customer and data growth - Design **PostgreSQL** schemas, query patterns, and tenancy isolation models built for performance and security - Build well-structured **APIs** and expose product capabilities as tool surfaces for AI agents using **MCP** or similar protocols - Make and defend language/framework decisions for new pod products—balancing speed to pilot with long-term maintainability - Take new product ideas from concept → pilot → product, and stop work that isn’t earning its place - Raise the engineering bar through design reviews, mentoring, and hiring --- **What we’re looking for** - **8+ years** of back-end software engineering experience - Deep experience architecting **multi-tenant SaaS** and distributed systems at scale - Expert **PostgreSQL** knowledge (schema design, performance tuning, tenancy isolation) - Strong **API design** skills, with hands-on experience or clear depth building tool surfaces for agents (MCP or similar) - Expert in **Java** and proficient in **Python or TypeScript**, with a record of making and defending language/framework choices - Track record turning an idea into a pilot and then a product—and the judgment to know when to stop - Architected a system still running in production at scale - **AI-Native Product Engineering:** Proven ability to use AI coding tools and agents to rapidly build, evaluate, and ship end-to-end products (you’ll complete a hands-on, AI-assisted product-building interview) - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field --- **What you’ll love** - **Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage:** 100% coverage for employees; 80% for spouses and children - **Health Reimbursement Account (HRA):** 100% funded by AiDASH to cover medical deductibles - **401(k) Plan:** Begin contributing after two months; currently no company match - **Parental Leave:** 16 weeks for primary caregivers; 4 weeks for secondary caregivers - **Generous Vacation Policy:** 20 vacation days/year + an additional flex holiday - **Winter Break:** Dec 25 through Jan 1 --- **Equal Opportunity** AiDASH is an equal-opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. --- **Compensation** Competitive annual pay range of **$230,000–$270,000** (base salary + performance bonus).
