**Empower, Innovate, Impact!** At Team A-TEK, we empower people to drive innovation that impacts mission. --- ## Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Engineer A-TEK is seeking an **Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Engineer** to support a federal client in **Silver Spring, MD**. You will implement and operate OCI services supporting client applications and databases. Work alongside existing engineers to expand delivery capacity, automate infrastructure, and troubleshoot production issues. Coordinate infrastructure changes with database administrators, application teams, security staff, and other service providers. ### Location & Schedule - **Location:** Silver Spring, Maryland - **Work model:** Onsite work and Government-approved telework as assigned - **Schedule:** Monday–Friday, **9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Eastern** - **Support:** Emergency on-call support as needed --- ## Responsibilities - Provision, configure, and maintain **OCI compute, storage, and related infrastructure**; support instance cloning and environment deployment - Develop and maintain **Terraform** configurations and reusable infrastructure automation with controlled changes and documented deployment procedures - Configure and troubleshoot **virtual cloud networks**, including subnets, routing, security rules, and load balancers (within assigned scope) - Support connectivity among application, database, and cloud environments; coordinate cross-cloud issues with **GCP engineers** and network owners - Monitor availability, performance, and capacity; resolve incidents; support backup, recovery, patching, and resilience activities - Apply access controls and security requirements; document infrastructure, dependencies, changes, and operational runbooks --- ## Required Qualifications - **4+ years** of systems or infrastructure engineering experience, including **at least 2 years** of hands-on cloud deployment and operations experience - Practical **OCI** experience provisioning and supporting production infrastructure (computing, networking, load balancing) - Hands-on **Terraform** experience; working knowledge of **Linux administration**, network troubleshooting, and **Bash or Python** scripting - Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or government-approved qualifying substitution) - Clear technical communication and ability to work through shared responsibilities, access approvals, and production change controls --- ## Preferred Qualifications - **OCI architecture or operations certification**; experience with multi-tenant environments, **IAM policies**, and infrastructure governance - General **Oracle database** knowledge and experience supporting database-hosting infrastructure - **CI/CD**, Docker, Kubernetes, and **GCP-to-OCI connectivity** experience - Federal cloud operations experience and **CompTIA Security+** (or another relevant security certification) --- ## Work & Access Requirements - Ability to obtain and maintain the required **Public Trust** suitability determination and comply with federal identity, security, and training requirements - **U.S. citizenship or qualifying lawful U.S. status** required (subject to customer access approval) - Participate in authorized emergency support and coordinate work through established change and access processes --- ## Compensation & Benefits - **Salary Range:** **$140,000 – $150,000 annually** (commensurate with experience) - **Benefits:** Health, dental, and vision insurance;
