## Forward Deployed Software Engineer (FDSE) **Location:** NYC, NY **Employment Type:** Part Time (Student/College) ### Company Overview Healthpeak Properties is a fully integrated real estate investment trust (REIT) and an S&P 500 company. We own, operate, and develop healthcare-focused real estate, including medical outpatient buildings, lab and life science facilities, and Senior Assisted Living centers. ### Role Summary As a **Forward Deployed Software Engineer**, you’ll have the autonomy of a startup with the backing of a well-established organization. You’ll be part of a small, agile pod and **embed directly with business teams**, working closely with operators, asset managers, and customer-facing colleagues. This is a **hands-on, high-impact** role where you’ll: - Rapidly identify opportunities and design solutions - Prototype, test, launch, and scale new ideas (often from concept to production in weeks) - Build products and platforms that reduce friction and improve experiences for tenants and partners ### What We’re Looking For - Inquisitive engineers who care about **why** as much as **how** - Proven programming expertise (e.g., **Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript**) - Hands-on experience developing alongside **AI agents** (e.g., Claude Code) - Strong technical problem-solving across areas like **data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and front-end frameworks** - Ability to collaborate with both **technical and non-technical stakeholders** in fast-paced environments - Self-directed, adaptable learners who can make sound decisions with minimal oversight ### Relevant Backgrounds Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science. ### Compensation **$100–$120k/yr** salary **plus cash incentives**. ### Apply Submit your application through the Healthpeak job posting. *Note: The posting includes standard application fields (name, email, phone, address, resume upload/paste, referral question, and sponsorship question).*
