Learn more: https://getclair.com/about --- ## About the Role We’re seeking a **DevOps Engineer** who thrives on solving high-impact, complex infrastructure and automation problems. You’ll own critical system architecture, drive infrastructure reliability, and build at scale—helping ensure our platform is **secure, performant, and highly available** for millions of hourly workers. You’ll work at the intersection of **fintech, embedded finance, and real-time payroll systems**, supporting products that handle millions of transactions with **sub-second performance**. --- ## Key Responsibilities - Architect, automate, and manage cloud infrastructure using **Terraform** - Oversee reliability, performance, and monitoring using **self-hosted Grafana, Sentry, and Laravel Nightwatch** - Manage infrastructure and specialized environments for **AI, data science, and ML workloads** - Drive security and compliance efforts, including support for **SOC2** and **PCI DSS** audits and implementing technical controls - Develop and maintain internal tools to support cross-functional teams - Manage **AI integrations** and internal AI tools --- ## Required Experience & Qualifications - **3+ years** of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) - Strong expertise in **infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)** and automation - Strong security mindset - Strong coding background; willing to learn/work with **PHP/Laravel** - Experience with **PostgreSQL** (or similar relational databases) - Ability to manage infrastructure for **AI/ML/Data Science** workloads --- ## Bonus Qualifications - Experience handling compliance audits (e.g., **SOC2, PCI DSS**) - Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment - Ability to periodically travel for team headquarters meetings and company on-sites --- ## Additional Details - **Location:** Remote (United States) - **Compensation:** Annual base salary **$138,000** (plus equity, benefits, and additional perks) **Hiring Notes:** - Clair will only contact candidates from **@getclair.com** email addresses - Clair will never ask for payments or sensitive personal information during the hiring process - If you receive anything suspicious, please ignore it --- ## Benefits (Highlights) - Medical, Dental, & Vision Coverage (option to extend to your family) - Fully-paid parental leave - Company-sponsored **401k, HSA, and FSA** - Unlimited vacation for salaried roles; generous PTO for hourly roles - Work from home setup allowance - Access to your earnings every day on Clair - Company-sponsored short-term and long-term disability insurance --- ## Equal Opportunity Employer Clair is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity.
