Clay already supports thousands of customers, including Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and Visa. ## IT Operations Engineer Clay is scaling fast and the IT function is new. This role sits between the IT Support Team and the Systems Engineer, owning the operational layer that keeps IT reliable as the company grows—covering systems of record, vendors, and the tooling IT depends on. This is an ownership-and-execution role: less about closing tickets and more about ensuring the “machinery” is accurate, governed, and continuously improving. ### What you’ll do - **Own MDM**: Run the Mac fleet in **Iru**, including configuration profiles, zero-touch enrollment, custom scripts, and remediation. Manage the smaller Windows footprint. - **Own the CMDB + asset data + ITAM vendor**: Maintain Clay’s source of truth for assets and systems (laptops, network hardware, office ISP details, and system mapping), including partner warehousing and the full lifecycle (procurement, shipments, deployments, collection). - **Reconcile data against IdP/HR**: After reconciliation is established, keep asset/system data accurate and drift-free to prevent audit findings. - **Vendor management + renewals**: Track contracts, manage renewals, handle license true-ups, and keep SaaS/hardware agreements current. - **Support compliance benchmarks**: Partner with Security to keep IT aligned with **SOC 2** and **ISO 27001** (offboarding rigor, access review cycles, and evidence trails). - **Administer and govern the SaaS stack**: Day-to-day governance across **Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom**, and core tools (provisioning, settings, group/access hygiene). - **Keep documentation current**: Own/maintain runbooks, configuration records, and process documentation. - **Partner on change + projects**: Help implement lightweight change management and contribute to IT deployments and escalations from Support. ### What you’ll bring - **6–8+ years** in IT with meaningful time in senior operations, systems, or infrastructure roles - Proven experience operating and maintaining IT systems at scale - **Deep MDM experience** (hands-on ownership of Iru/Jamf Pro or similar cloud MDM), including configuration profiles, zero-touch enrollment, and scripting - **Bash scripting** for macOS management; enough Windows MDM familiarity to manage a small footprint - **Deep day-to-day Okta administration** (app integrations, group/access management, troubleshooting) - Experience working within **SOC 2 / ISO 27001** in an IT context (access reviews, offboarding rigor, evidence collection) - Experience owning **ITAM or CMDB** (asset tracking, inventory reconciliation, record accuracy) - Vendor management experience (contracts, renewals, license management) - Broad SaaS admin experience (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, modern stack) - Strong documentation instincts - **AI-forward mindset** (use AI tools to work faster and handle volume intelligently) - Clear communicator who can maintain process without slowing teams down ### Bonus points (if you have) - Experience with **Iru** specifically or launching an MDM from scratch - **Jamf certification** - Security/ITIL-related certification (e.g., **ITIL Foundation**) - Experience with additional compliance frameworks (e.g., **HITRU
