## ClassDojo — IT Lead ClassDojo’s mission is to give every child on Earth an education they love. The IT Lead role owns and operates ClassDojo’s IT function (reporting to the CTO) for roughly 350 people—covering identity, devices, SaaS, security operations, vendors, and AI platforms. ### What you’ll do - **Own identity & the employee lifecycle:** Okta, Google Workspace, and an HRIS-driven pipeline where access changes happen automatically with an audit trail. - **Own a Mac-first MDM fleet:** Near-100% coverage, **passwordless authentication at 100%**, and assist response on security incidents. - **Run IT operations end to end:** onboarding, offboarding, support, and AI triage/self-service that handles most requests—treating repeat requests as defects to eliminate. - **Govern a 50+ tool SaaS stack:** IT budget and vendor management. - **Apply governance for Claude & ChatGPT accounts:** use AI/automation to reduce manual IT work. - **Keep IT-owned SOC 2 controls audit-ready:** maintain evidence sourced from the systems. ### You’ll be a match if you have - Owned and operated IT alone at **200+ staff**, including identity in **Okta, Google Workspace, and Slack**, with an **HRIS-driven lifecycle** that ran unattended. - Owned a **production Mac fleet** under MDM, including a migration or baseline rebuild. - Administered **ChatGPT and Claude** (or comparable tools) for a company, using them daily and building automations that replaced manual IT work with measurable outcomes. - **Automate by default:** script, API, logs, admin consoles—able to automate entire categories of requests. - Practical security judgment and experience working in a **SOC 2** environment. - Strong direct support skills (and can quote your own support metrics). - Excellent documentation habits—able to explain technical decisions to executives in two sentences. - Ownership mindset: you don’t wait for perfect requirements or handoffs. - You live in the **US** (East/West Coast) and can travel to **San Francisco**. ### Bonus - Experience with **AWS IAM Identity Center** and **Terraform** (or other config-as-code) applied to Okta/Google. - Experience with office buildouts, BYOD policy rollouts, international contractors, **Windows**, and **ChromeOS**. ### Location / Hours - Distributed company—hiring regardless of location, as long as you can overlap significantly with one of the Americas time zones. ### Compensation (United States) - **CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT:** **$185,000 – $220,000 (USD)** - **All other US states:** **$157,500 – $187,000 (USD)** ### Equal Opportunity ClassDojo is an equal opportunity employer and provides reasonable accommodations.
