Founded in 2020, Clarium has raised **$43M** in total funding. --- ## The Opportunity Clarium is scaling Astra OS across more of the country’s leading health systems. We’re looking for a **Tech Lead** to raise the bar on **architecture, code quality, and technical execution**. You’ll lead through **influence and hands-on craftsmanship** (not formal management): driving system design, setting engineering standards, unblocking teammates on the hardest problems, and staying deep in the code. You’ll partner closely with the **Director of Engineering** and **Product** to ensure technical decisions support both the near-term roadmap and the long-term health of the codebase. --- ## In This Role You Will - Drive **system design, architecture, and technical direction** for your team’s projects - Write **production code** and set the technical bar through hands-on contribution - Mentor engineers via **code review, pairing, and technical guidance** (no people management responsibility) - Partner with **Product** to translate roadmap priorities into sound technical plans - Identify and resolve **technical risk, tech debt, and cross-team dependencies** before they become blockers - Establish and evolve **engineering best practices, standards, and tooling** across the team --- ## What You’ll Bring - **6+ years** of software engineering experience, including leading technical direction - Deep hands-on experience with the core stack: **Python, React, TypeScript** (shipping production code) - Proven ability to make sound **architecture and system design** decisions in a fast-moving environment - Experience mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar through example and code review - Strong collaboration skills—align technical decisions with **product and business goals** - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including explaining tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders --- ## Nice to Have - Experience in **healthcare**, **supply chain**, or another complex regulated domain - Experience scaling systems or engineering practices in an **early-stage startup** environment --- ## Skills & Tools You’ll Use - **Need to Know:** Python, React, TypeScript - **Nice to Know:** AWS, SQL, data pipeline / ETL workflows --- ## What You Get at Clarium - **Target base salary:** **$160–200K** (varies by scope and experience) - Equity + full range of medical and/or other benefits (depending on role) - **Incentive Stock Options** proportionate to salary - **Fully remote**, with a NYC co-working space available; distributed team across time zones - **Unlimited PTO** - Top-tier health, vision, and dental benefits - **401K** - Opportunity to shape the product at a stage where your work genuinely impacts outcomes - Fast-paced, high-growth environment solving critical healthcare challenges - Empower frontline healthcare workers by automating administrative friction - Collaborative work with clinicians, engin
