**Head of AI Strategy & Operations** **ABOUT THE ROLE** Accela is seeking a Head of AI Strategy & Operations to help teams across the company use AI effectively and responsibly. You will shape enterprise AI strategy, set practical standards, and guide investments that improve how people work and deliver measurable results. **Key Responsibilities:** • Shape AI strategy and investment priorities aligned with business goals • Prioritize AI opportunities and define success measures • Lead AI governance with clear risk categories and approval processes • Set practical requirements for security, privacy, data use, and human oversight • Maintain portfolio visibility of AI initiatives company-wide • Support employee adoption through training, guides, and peer learning • Build team capabilities and address skill gaps • Guide technology choices and establish technical standards • Measure results, costs, adoption, and business outcomes • Lead through collaboration across business and technical teams **Requirements:** • 6+ years in AI, AI strategy, or technology strategy with complex initiative leadership • Experience establishing enterprise AI governance, standards, or adoption programs • Practical experience with LLMs, retrieval, agents, workflow automation, and AI evaluation • Strong ability to prioritize, translate business problems into requirements, and deliver measurable results • Excellent communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills • Relevant credentials (IAPP AIGP, ISO/IEC 42001, ISACA AAISM, CRISC, CGEIT) or equivalent experience **Preferred:** • Enterprise SaaS, GovTech, or regulated environment experience • Security, risk, or compliance team experience • AI champion networks or internal capability building experience **Compensation & Benefits:** $240,000–$280,000 base salary + annual bonus target Flexible time off, comprehensive medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, HSA, life/disability coverage, and more **Location:** Remote (#LI-Remote) Accela is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
