**Beacon Biosignals — Senior Mobile App Engineer (React Native)** Beacon Biosignals is transforming precision medicine for the brain—supporting clinical development and clinical care. For Life Sciences partners, we offer a leading at-home EEG platform for novel therapeutics across neurological, psychiatric, and sleep disorders. Our Diagnostics business builds a comprehensive at-home platform combining EEG and cardiopulmonary signals to deliver reimbursable assessments for sleep and central nervous system disorders. As a **Senior Mobile App Engineer**, you’ll build and evolve **cross-platform React Native apps** that patients and clinicians use with EEG headbands and other wearables. Your work will help improve how people capture high-fidelity data and move through clinical trials and at-home diagnostics. --- ### What success looks like As part of our small, mission-driven Mobile Apps Team, you will: - **Lead development** of React Native mobile applications across **iOS and Android** - **Design and implement UX workflows** for clinical trial participants and at-home diagnostic patients - **Own UX, performance, reliability, and observability** for the apps and features you build - **Collaborate with engineers** on native iOS/Android **BLE device SDKs** to integrate device capabilities cleanly - **Partner with Devices, Platform teams, and product designers** to build user-centric mobile capabilities across Beacon’s ecosystem - **Help shape the roadmap and technical direction** of the mobile platform **In your first 3–6 months, you might:** - Build an in-app feature to **validate EEG signal quality** before data capture - **Streamline onboarding** for new patients and trial participants - Deploy features to help **Clinical Operations track compliance** - Improve **app performance**, **release reliability**, and **crash/telemetry visibility** across our Expo-based build pipeline --- ### What you will bring You’ll be a great fit if you have: - **8+ years** of mobile development experience, including shipping and maintaining **production React Native** apps on **iOS and Android** - Strong **TypeScript** skills and familiarity with **React Native, Expo, GitHub** - Experience with **app state management**, **offline-first** data handling, and **app store release processes** - A **product mindset** with strong attention to UX, edge cases, and performance - Strong communication skills and comfort working in a **collaborative, async** environment **Bonus points if you’ve:** - Integrated **BLE peripheral devices** into iOS and/or Android apps (or worked with sensor integration/health data streams) - Written native code (**Swift/Kotlin**) or built native modules for React Native - Worked with **medical devices**, **EEG**, or **wearables** - Built apps for **clinical trials**, patients, or other **regulated environments** - Contributed to **open source mobile** or **React Native** projects --- ### Location / Work model Beacon supports a robust remote work experience, with **in-person office hubs in Boston and New York**. For this role, candidates can be based **anywhere in the US Eastern time zone**. --- ### Compensation The salary range for this role is **$150,000 – $190,000**. Salary ranges are determined using current market compensation data and adjusted based on experience, skills, and location.
