**Accenture Federal Services — SAP HCM Custom Object Developer** **The Work** The SAP HCM Custom Object Developer supports the technical design, build, testing, and deployment of custom solutions within the SAP HCM and Payroll environment. You’ll use strong hands-on **ABAP** skills to translate approved functional designs into scalable, high-quality technical components. You’ll collaborate closely with SAP HCM functional consultants, integration developers, and other technical resources to ensure custom objects meet business requirements and follow established development standards. You’ll support the full development lifecycle—from reviewing functional specifications and creating detailed technical designs to executing unit tests, resolving defects, supporting integration activities, and preparing custom developments for deployment. **Key Responsibilities** - Review functional design specifications and translate them into detailed technical designs - Design, develop, and enhance SAP HCM custom objects using **ABAP** - Develop and support custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, workflows, and other technical components - Collaborate with functional teams to clarify requirements and ensure technical designs align with approved functional specifications - Perform technical/unit testing, code validation, and prepare solutions for functional testing - Troubleshoot and resolve defects identified during functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing - Provide remediation support through retesting and defect closure cycles - Develop and maintain technical design documents, development specifications, and testing artifacts - Support transport management, deployment activities, and production readiness efforts - Collaborate with integration developers where custom objects connect to SAP or external systems - Leverage **SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite** where applicable (especially for integration-related custom solutions) **Here’s What You Need** - **4+ years** of SAP **ABAP** development experience - Experience developing custom solutions within **SAP HCM and/or Payroll** environments - Demonstrated experience building and supporting reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, workflows, and related custom components - Ability to interpret functional specifications and convert them into robust technical designs - Strong debugging and problem-resolution skills - Understanding of SAP HCM data structures, technical architecture, and integration points - Experience supporting development through all phases of testing and deployment - Strong communication and collaboration skills (especially with functional and integration teams) - **SAP CPI / Integration Suite** experience is a plus (API-based integrations and cloud integration flows) **Eligibility Requirements** - Must be a **US Citizen** - Eligible to obtain a **Public Trust** clearance **Pay Range (where applicable)** $82,700 — $209,300 USD
