## Senior DevSecOps / Platform Engineer ### Responsibilities - Own and operate the Agentic AI platform end-to-end across CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes operations, observability, and runtime reliability - Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and/or GitLab CI to enable secure, repeatable, efficient delivery - Implement and improve automated testing and quality gates (build validation, integration checks, security testing, deployment controls) - Provide operational ownership of Amazon EKS / Kubernetes environments (cluster lifecycle, upgrades, troubleshooting, RBAC, Helm deployments, pod identity, GitOps-aligned workflows) - Build and maintain AWS infrastructure supporting platform/application needs (VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudTrail, KMS) - Own infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management using OpenTofu / Terraform (IaC) - Design and operate monitoring, logging, and alerting (CloudWatch, Prometheus/Grafana, or equivalent) - Develop actionable alerts, service health indicators, and SLO-aligned operational thresholds for fast triage and resilient delivery - Build and maintain synthetic and transactional monitoring that exercises real authentication flows and critical user/service transactions - Implement and maintain DAST and runtime security testing in delivery pipelines (e.g., OWASP ZAP, Burp, Nuclei, or equivalent) - Support security-focused CI/CD practices (secrets management, least privilege, software supply chain integrity, audit evidence generation) - Drive modern delivery patterns (trunk-based development, merge-request-driven change, automated release quality controls) ### Qualifications **Required** - BS + 8+ years, MS + 6+ years, or PhD + 3+ years in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or closely related infrastructure roles - Deep CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions and/or GitLab CI - Hands-on experience operating Amazon EKS / Kubernetes environments - Senior-level AWS experience (VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudTrail, KMS) - Experience building/operating monitoring, logging, and alerting at scale (CloudWatch, Prometheus/Grafana, or equivalent) - Hands-on IaC experience with OpenTofu / Terraform - Experience supporting agile delivery models (trunk-based development, MR-driven change, automated quality gates) - Strong security/compliance foundation (secrets management, least privilege, supply chain integrity, audit evidence support) - Experience implementing automated testing in CI/CD pipelines - Experience running DAST and security testing against live services in pipeline workflows (triage/gating of findings alongside SAST/SCA) - Experience building synthetic/transactional monitoring (scripted health checks validating real auth flows and critical transactions) - Strong troubleshooting, systems thinking, and operational ownership mindset - **US Citizenship required** **Preferred** - Experience with BigBang / Platform One - Familiarity with Iron Bank, Sigstore/Cosign, and hardened image pipeline practices - Prior experience supporting systems pursuing/maintaining an ATO - Experience with contract testing (e.g., PACT) - Chaos engineering concepts/tooling - Progressive delivery experience (canary or blue/green with automated rollback) - Experience in regulated/mission environments aligned to NIST 800-171, CMMC, FedRAMP, or DoD security expectations - Background maturing platform reliability and security in cloud-native environments supporting sensitive workloads ### Peraton Overview Peraton is
