About this role

## About the Role (Product Engineer — Grok Connectors) Our mission is to automate coding. As a Product Engineer on the Grok Connectors team at SpaceXAI, you’ll build integrations that let **Grok, Cursor, and Grok Bot** do real work inside the tools people use every day. ### What you’ll build - **Connectors & integrations** for: Gmail, Outlook, Google Calendar & Drive, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive & SharePoint, GitHub, Slack, finance accounts, and a growing marketplace of third-party **MCP plugins** - End-to-end feature delivery, including: - **OAuth sign-in** and **token handling** - **Tool schemas** - **Reliability at scale** (hundreds of millions of tool calls) - User-facing **cards and approval flows** across web, desktop, and mobile - Work directly with **enterprise customers and partners** to ship connectors they can trust ### You may be a fit if you - Have an **entrepreneurial spirit** and enjoy creating outsized business impact - Want AI agents to be **genuinely useful** by connecting them to real data/actions safely - Have deep, practical knowledge of **OAuth 2.0** and **OIDC** and large provider APIs (e.g., **Google Workspace** and **Microsoft Graph**)—or are excited to become the expert - Care deeply about **reliability**: concurrency, retries, rate limits, and observability (fix root causes, not symptoms) - Let **data drive decisions**: size user impact from logs/metrics and measure error-rate changes before/after fixes - Are strong in **TypeScript**, comfortable shipping across backend services and client UI in a large codebase - Enjoy collaborating with **customers, partners, QA, and support**, and can clearly answer security review questions **Bonus (nice to have):** MCP protocol, Rust, Kubernetes, multi-cloud deployments, enterprise security/compliance (e.g., ZDR, audit logs, Conditional Access), or building LLM agents for automation. ## Sample Projects - Automated triage system: pull reports from feedback channels, group by root cause with user-impact estimates, file issues, and start first-pass coding agents - Redesign OAuth token refresh to prevent concurrent requests from burning single-use refresh tokens and to correctly mark connectors as disconnected - Reduce tool-call errors by generating tool definitions from vendor API specs, fixing argument mapping, and adding batch tools - Ship Gmail/Outlook draft/reply/attachment flows with **approval cards** so agents never send email without user sign-off - Launch new partner connectors: debug partner OAuth metadata, rollout, and adoption metrics - Support enterprise + single-tenant deployments: custom certificate authorities, Entra Conditional Access, admin controls, and compliance reviews ## Applying If there’s a fit, we’ll reach out to schedule **2–3 short technical interviews**. Then we’ll schedule an **onsite** where you’ll work on a small project, discuss ideas, and meet the team.
