## Linux & Cyber Tools Administrator ### Responsibilities - Provide Linux and cyber tools administration and **Tier 2 support** across a range of globally distributed systems. - Maintain **Ansible playbooks** for rapid deployment of updated containers. - Maintain and leverage **Red Hat Satellite** for distributed **RHEL patching**. - Develop and maintain process documentation for **Linux administration and patching**. - Assist with updating **IDS definitions**. ### Location - **Beltsville, MD** ### Qualifications **Minimum Qualifications** - **Bachelor’s degree + 5 years** of experience (or **3 years** with a Master’s). An additional **4 years** may substitute for the bachelor’s requirement. - Must possess and maintain (or obtain prior to start) one of the following certifications: - **CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, CISSP** - **Security+ CE, CySA+, PPDA, Agile IC, SNOW App Dev** - **Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7, 8, and 9**: hands-on administration, patching, and deployment from scratch; **RHEL 9 experience required**. - **Ansible**: ability to run and write/modify playbooks for automated deployment and configuration. - **Red Hat Satellite**: experience managing distributed RHEL patching at scale. - **Bash scripting**: author basic-to-intermediate scripts. - **DISA STIGs / system hardening**: practical experience applying security configurations. - **SCAP tools**: familiarity with scanning and compliance validation. - **IDS/security tooling**: basic experience with definition updates/signature management. - **Process documentation**: ability to write and maintain clear technical procedures. - **U.S. citizenship** and an active **Secret** security clearance to start. **Desired Qualifications** - Basic networking knowledge (OSI model, firewalls, switches/routers) - VMware (or equivalent) virtualization experience (creating/managing VMs) - Basic hardware troubleshooting experience ### Compensation - **Target salary range:** **$80,000 – $128,000** (based on experience, education, skills, location, and contract factors).
