## Senior Software Engineer, Embedded Test Automation **Location:** Campbell, CA (On-site) **Type:** Full-time ### Why Imperative Care? You’ll help develop technologies that directly impact human lives—focused on patient needs and real-world outcomes. ### What You’ll Do - Design, implement, and maintain **hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test systems** and **automated fixtures** for embedded firmware and hardware. - Build reusable **Python automation** for component, integration, regression, and fault-injection testing. - Create and maintain **manufacturing tools** for device programming, provisioning, configuration, calibration, and diagnostics. - Integrate embedded tests and hardware test stations into **CI/CD workflows**. - Collaborate with embedded software, electrical, systems, manufacturing, and quality teams to automate tasks and collect data. ### What You’ll Bring - **BS in CS/CE/EE or related field** and **5+ years** relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and work). - Strong **Python** skills and experience building maintainable automation frameworks/tools. - Experience automating **hardware/software** or **electromechanical** systems using test fixtures, lab equipment, or HIL environments. - Experience with **Linux**, **Git**, **pytest** (or similar), and **CI/CD** (containers/build automation a plus). - Preferred: **C/C++**, embedded systems, and communication interfaces such as **CAN, UART, Ethernet**. - Plus: experience in **manufacturing**, **medical devices**, or other **regulated/safety-critical** environments. ### Benefits - Stock options (stake in collective success) - Competitive salary - 401(k) - Health benefits - Generous PTO - Parental leave program **Salary Range:** **$169,000 – $195,000** (guideline; depends on scope, experience, education, skills, internal equity, and location/market factors) ### Apply Apply directly for this position. *Note:* Imperative Care requests that external recruiters/staffing agencies receive prior approval from HR and not contact employees directly.
