## About the Role At Snowflake, we’re powering the era of the agentic enterprise. The **Customer Experience Engineering Team** is expanding and looking for an **entry-level Software Engineer** to help build intelligent data applications that provide diagnostic insight and technical content relevant to customer issues. You’ll work closely with a mentor, tech lead, and manager as you grow into a well-rounded engineer. The team focuses on reducing customer friction by building features into the Snowflake product and enabling resolution when customers hit roadblocks. ## What You’ll Do - Implement well-scoped tasks and projects across the stack, including **Java and Python services** hosted in **Kubernetes** and **Snowpark Container Services** - Learn the full software lifecycle—from **design** through **deployment support** - Take accountability for the **quality, completeness, and customer experience** of your work - Seek and incorporate feedback from peers, stakeholders, and design reviews - Learn component design (requirements, use cases, architecture) and develop proficiency in a feature area - Participate in development, testing, bug fixing, triage, and **support rotation** - Collaborate cross-functionally with **product management** and **design** - Know when to ask for help to keep progress moving and avoid rework ## What You Bring - **B.S. or M.S.** in CS, MIS, or equivalent discipline - Internship or professional experience is a plus - Working knowledge of modern application design, API design patterns, and basics of performance/scale - Proficiency in at least one of: **Python, Java, Scala, Go (GoLang)** (bonus for more than one) - Familiarity with best practices: **unit testing, code reviews, design documentation** - Ability to debug your own code and interest in building troubleshooting skills in a cloud environment - Ability to write high-quality, readable, maintainable code with consideration for **performance, operability, and maintainability** - Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and interest in working with diverse peers and external developers - Desire to contribute to team morale, help onboard new hires/interns, and support what the team needs - Genuine enjoyment of building great software and a love of learning ## Location / Compensation (US) For jobs located in the United States, please visit the Snowflake Careers Site for salary and benefits information: **careers.snowflake.com** (Also available at: **http://careers.snowflake.com**)
