In the interview process, we focus on how you think and how you can explain your approach, including how you collaborate with AI. --- **Role: Solutions Engineer Intern (2027) — USA** Solutions Engineer Interns work at the intersection of engineering, data, and Pinterest’s advertising and revenue ecosystem. You’ll contribute to scoped technical projects that improve tools, workflows, integrations, and support experiences for internal teams, advertisers, and partners. You’ll gain exposure to real engineering work, cross-functional collaboration, and responsible AI-assisted workflows—applying judgment and verification to AI-supported work. --- **What you’ll do** - Complete assigned technical projects with attention to quality, incorporating feedback from your mentor, manager, and peers - Execute scoped technical tasks end-to-end that contribute to Pinterest products and infrastructure - Build, test, debug, and improve code, scripts, automations, internal tools, or data workflows (with guidance from experienced engineers) - Investigate technical issues using logs, data, documentation, and structured troubleshooting; help identify root causes, validate solutions, and communicate findings - Participate in scheduled engineering on-call coverage during regular workdays/hours to triage and document issues (with guidance) - Partner with Engineering, Product, Sales, Operations, and Support teams; where relevant, communicate with external partners to understand requirements and contribute practical solutions - Improve reporting, monitoring, documentation, sample code, or support processes so teams can resolve issues and make decisions more efficiently - Use approved AI tools to accelerate research, coding, analysis, and documentation—while validating outputs, protecting confidential information, and taking ownership of final work --- **What we’re looking for** - Current enrollment in a school/education program working toward a **Bachelor’s** in Computer Science, engineering, information systems, or a related technical field - Obtain a **Bachelor’s in Computer Science (or related technical field) by June 2028** - Foundational understanding of programming concepts, debugging, and testing (via coursework, projects, or prior experience) - Experience writing and debugging code in at least one language such as **Python, Java, JavaScript, or C++** - Clear communication of technical thinking, thoughtful clarifying questions, and effective collaboration - Comfort working with structured data (tables/CSV) and using spreadsheets to organize or review data - Experience using AI tools for learning/research/technical problem-solving, with a practice of validating outputs (testing/source review) and handling information responsibly --- **Internship start dates (2 options)** - **May 17, 2027 – August 6, 2027** - **June 14, 2027 – September 3, 2027** --- **In-Office / Remote Requirement (PinFlex)** - Work style depends on the type of work and collaboration needs - For this role, some interns work **hybrid** (commutable distance to an office; in-person collaboration ~1–2 tim
