ActiveCampaign is seeking an **Sr AI Engineer – AI Transformation Hub** to sit at the intersection of **infrastructure** and **business innovation**. In this role, you’ll take meaningful ownership of how key parts of our **internal AI agent platform** evolve—designing the technical foundation that enables teams across the company to **build, deploy, operate, and improve AI agents at scale**. --- ## What you’ll do - **Own and evolve core capabilities** within our internal AI agent platform to support high-impact business workflows. - **Define and improve deployment patterns** and orchestration approaches for complex agent use cases. - Partner with business stakeholders to translate **strategic goals** into scalable AI agent solutions. - Work hands-on with builders to **debug issues**, answer technical questions, and unblock day-to-day development. - Investigate failing repositories, run code locally when needed, and fix infrastructure/environment issues at the root cause. - Build and maintain **shared services** (reusable modules, integration layers, logging patterns, data access approaches). - Drive decisions around **observability, governance, permissions, reliability, and cost-aware usage**. - Set technical direction so new capabilities become **durable foundations** (not one-off solutions). - Collaborate across engineering and business functions to identify and shape new **high-value agent-led opportunities**. --- ## What good looks like - Agent teams can build faster because **core infrastructure, standards, and patterns** are already in place. - Shared capabilities are designed for **quality and reusability**, so multiple teams can adopt them without starting from scratch. - Agent deployment becomes **more reliable, supportable, and scalable** across growing business use cases. - Fewer recurring technical blockers over time (integrations, permissions, environments, monitoring) due to proactive root-cause ownership. - Builders are better supported by a senior technical partner who can guide design, debug issues, and move critical work forward. --- ## Ideal candidate - **5+ years** of hands-on experience in software/platform/solutions/infrastructure engineering (or similar). - Strong ability to design and implement **production-ready systems** across APIs, services, integrations, and data flows. - Experience with **cloud environments** and modern deployment patterns. - Comfort troubleshooting complex issues across infrastructure, application logic, and third-party integrations. - Prior experience building **internal platforms**, shared services, developer tooling, or reusable technical foundations. - Strong understanding of **system design, reliability, scalability, and security**. - Proven ability to take ownership of ambiguous technical problems and drive them from design through implementation. - Experience defining **technical patterns, processes, or standards** other builders rely on. - Practical experience with **AI-powered applications**, agent architectures, LLM-based workflows, or adjacent systems. - Strong communication skills and ability to work **cross-functionally** in a fast-moving environment. - Comfort with ambiguity and a **builder mentality** with bias toward practical execution. --- ## Compensation & notes - Compensation deta
