**Legal Product Builder** **About the Role** Build AI-powered legal products at the cutting edge of legal technology. You'll translate complex legal work into scalable, agent-driven experiences by: • Collaborating with engineers and product managers to develop AI legal products • Breaking down legal processes into decisions, rules, workflows, and escalation points • Developing evaluation criteria and feedback loops for legal agents • Testing against real-world scenarios and diagnosing failure modes • Prototyping new legal capabilities using AI tools **About You** • 4+ years of substantive legal experience (Big Law, in-house, or comparable legal practice) • Product thinking with a track record of identifying and solving workflow problems • Technical fluency—comfortable working with engineers on AI product development • Strong written communication and high degree of autonomy • *Nice to have:* Commercial contract negotiation experience, legal tech background, or founder experience **Compensation** $204,000 - $240,000 (NYC, CA) + equity, benefits, and commissions where applicable **The Team** Join Carta Law, an AI-native legal services firm at the intersection of legal expertise and cutting-edge technology.
